The clothes are not as nice as last year and some of the clothes are exactly the same as last year, and not necessarily on sale. The two sales people working today, July 20, 2018, were not dressed well, followed us around like suspects, and tied a ribbon around the clothes we were trying on, and didn't seem to want to add any more items once the ribbon was tied. They watched us like hawks, and I'm not sure how anyone could steal while only wearing 1/2 an outfit. They also looked at us, then whispered about us. There is signs in the store, "if you shoplift you are beaten to death." Not particulary amusing and certainly very unfriendly. We are out of country visitors, but find elsewhere in the USA and in other stores in Sequim, that we are welcomed and appreciated. I don't recommend this store, whether the clothes can be nice sometimes.

I am giving this store three stars instead of one because, to be fair, the clothes are lovely. Sue is one of three store salespeople whose personal style is remarkable and I imagine she is the buyer (the other two do not seem to dress from the store's racks) and in that role she is perfectly genius. She's also quite helpful if one needs style advice. I've spent untold thousands of dollars in this boutique over the past 4 years but I've decided no more. Why am I not going to shop there again when I love the clothes? The experience is just too unpleasant. I am followed around as a suspect and there are signs that threaten violence if shoplifting should occur. Today as I approached one clerk and asked a question, she interupted me so she could furtively motion to her colleague in the direction of the store where a shopper was treading alone, no doubt another suspect. Later, I was in a corner of the store, trying to find my size on a rack, and a clerk ran anxiously to my side to ask me what I needed. There is definitely an atmosphere of mistrust and negativity in this store. It ought to be fun to shop in a boutique and elsewhere it is. Most of all, in writing this review, I hope the owner will read it and reflect on ways to convey another message in this store. I am not sure what their quality improvement strategies are but Yelp reviews contain data that could be of interest when a business owner considers how performance can be improved.

Disappointing customer service. Was harassed and asked about five times if I needed help or had queations about the Aveda products. Called to report and person on phone said, abruptly, that she "was sure" that the peraon did not mean to harass me and she was sorry I had "interpreted" it that way. Spoke to manager who also defended sales clerk but said she would speak to her. Told her I did not appreciate other salesperson's comment that I had "interpreted" the behavior. I said that she HAD left me feeling harassed. Manager stated, "Well....she is just very protective of this clerk". Is it about helping the cuatomer feel welcome or "protecting the clerk".Nice to have the apology, but your clerk WAS rude and treated me like a shoplifter.

Had my hair cut here & loved it - did a REALLY good job trying to fix a bad haircut I'd had before (not in Sequim!). Lovely surroundings, friendly, relaxing ... Go!
