The ignorance of the deli workers is amazing especially the older guy who 2 weeks ago appeared to be completely irritated that he had to get me some chow mein and an egg roll. Today with 3 workers behind the counter, 2 were actually working, the same older guy who just finished ringing up a customer as I was standing in front of the Chinese food section asked a customer who had just walked up to the chicken counter if he could help him. I thought ok that's cool he'll get to me in a minute. Nope! He completely ignored me and asked the 2nd person who walked up after I did if he could help him. I looked at him and he was looking right at me so I shrugged my shoulders at him and left. Only reason I shopped at Safeway today was so I could get a rice bowl. Back to Walmart next time!

Produce dept much upgraded. Good place to shop.

Excellent geriatric observation location. Absurdly overpriced groceries, understaffed and overworked employees. A steady decline in customer experience.Very possibly a business school case study of market failure due to conglomerate mismanagement and poor executive leadership.

A great place to shop for far better produce than Walmart. Delicious french bread and bagels baked on site. But I would give them 5 stars if their grocery pickup online service hadn't sent me a deluge of junk mail/marketing emails when I signed up. I immediately closed my pickup account and had to use Walmart instead. I also think the groc pickup should have a covered area for customers, instead of the crowded parking lot. It would be far safer to put that at a back or side door location like Walmart in Port Angeles. The staff and the customers would not be in the rain or snow/wind while loading groceries. It is not easy to get onto either bordering street if making a left turn, with no traffic light like the Safeway in Port Angeles.

Friendly people work here (including me?. Like just about everywhere these days, prices are pretty high. Safeway prides itself on customer service. We try like heck to make your experience a good one

I just started using their online shopping. Each time I've placed an order online my groceries have been ready and wheeled out to my car. My produce nicely picked out, everything there. Service is courteous and accurate. Website easy to use. Someone is there to call if I run into a snag . 5 stars.

All the self checks had labels saying they were card only so we went to the only "open" check lane. The checker was nowhere to be found and customer service told me to wait. After they finally made it to the check stand they were rude during the transaction acting like I was being the rude one and told me "only two self check stands are card only" all in all not a good experience for an overpriced and unorganized cramped store.

Returned some food from self checkout. The cashier Chandrika was judgmental and rude. Made the transaction uncomfortable. Not Personable and cold.

Clean store, easy to find things. Exactly what I would expect a top notch box store to be like.

Clean grocery store with a large selection of produce, ice cream, wine and spirits, seafood, meats, bakery goods, and even fresh sushi.

July 7th, 2023 Sequim, Washington store.Because I have limited mobility and have to rely on others for transportation, I usually shop in the evening. I heard the closing announcement when I was on my way to check-out. There were several people at self check-out. I noticed there was a register open, with a cashier finishing up with a customer. Since I have physical limitations and weight lifting restrictions, I knew I wouldn't be able to go thru self check-out in a timely manner, having a full basket, so, I chose to go thru the line with the cashier. She was just finishing up with a customer handing her the receipt. When I walked up and put my first item on the belt, the customer told her to have a good night. She looked over at me then back at the customer while rolling her eyes, made a noise like pffft! She yeh, IF I ever get out of here! Extremely rude and disrespectful! She didn't say a word to me and her body language was almost aggressive while she put my items in the bag and my cart. I was waiting for her to push the total because the machine said it was waiting for cashier when I asked her if it had accepted my club card. She was still at the end of the check stand when she looked up and said, yeh it did.I knew it hadn't because I couldn't see any of the sale items on the screen and I knew that the total was off. She finally went to the register because I couldn't finish the transaction until she hit the total button (I'm assuming). She then realized my card wasn't accepted it pushes a few buttons and said oh there it goes. She handles me the receipt and went over to weld check-out.No goodbyes, thank yous etc.I know greetings aren't a requirement but they are nice sometimes. Obviously, she wasn't having a good night, I know I sure was until my encounter with her! Most people might think it's a petty rant, I do not.Her attitude was unwarranted, un-called for and unnecessary! So, next time i'll go shopping a little earlier ,at Wal-Mart!Hope your tomorrow is better Andrea V.

Food and alcohol and decent prices. Tends not to treat its employees very well, though, so if you can shop elsewhere, I would encourage you to do so.

I went in this morning to grab some energy drinks and a quick bite to eat for my family. I find everything great, stopped by the deli to grab some of their seafood salad I can take to work for lunch (the deli gentleman was delightful, and the only redeeming factor of this trip), grab some croissants at the bakery, my energy drinks and a couple Naked Brand Smoothies. I open my app and see I have a “$10 off when you spend $10 or more” coupon, great! Why not save a little money? I go to check out at the self checkout (which I’m not fond of in the first place but don’t have time to wait 30 minutes for the ONE cashier line), I scan my items, yada yada, and then I get to the checkout screen. I wasn’t sure how to apply my app coupon to the transaction, so I press the “request assistance” button and wait. After about 5 minutes, I look around and see the employee standing and talking to someone, just chatting away. And I realize in a small town everyone kind of knows eachother so seeing your friends isn’t a rare occasion, but come on, catch up off the clock. She eventually wraps up her conversation and comes over. I ask for help with my coupon and she proceeds to tell me “well, those coupons are for people who buy meats and vegetables not energy drinks. You know. REAL FOOD.” Which I was quite offended by, seeing as I had “real food” in my bags as well, maybe not meats and produce but I had more than just energy drinks, also no where on the coupon (even the fine print) said I COULDNT use it on energy drinks. So between the rudeness and refusal to try and help, I simply paid for my things and left, which I was met with a “maybe next time you can buy REAL FOOD”.Unnecessary.Unfortunately Sequim is a small town and doesn’t have many other grocery stores, and they have stuff that isn’t available at the other 3 in town, so I can’t say “I won’t be returning”. I just hope you train your employees some human decency and update the fine print to list ineligible items in your coupons.
