Their quality is usually lmpeccable, but their selection in some sections is sparse, like cat food, and you pay Shoreline (read: higher) prices for everything! They also have some of the most consistently indifferent cashiers around. I understand that having a sense of humor is not a prerequisite to hiring...but perhaps it should be!

The same cashier for at least 3 visits has been off-putting, to say the least. She laughs with staff and disregards me every time, making the experience aweful. The prices are astonishing at several dollars higher in some cases.

The old "Thriftway" organization of grocery stores here in the NW are no more. The only Thriftway store name is the one at Ballinger of which is now a lone family run store with not much clout to buy big like the big stores and sell cheaper, like the big stores can.
Yes, prices are higher here but their quality is good. Apparently they do a super-big wine market throughout the NW and western states. Produce is always like perfect but more than you will pay at the big stores.
Very convenient for all who live nearby and this population is growing.

My husband and I are loyal customers. The employees are all so welcoming, helpful and it makes it feel like a true community. The beer selection is outstanding and the guys in the meat section are top notch.
