Shoreline Safeway on Aurora Avenue North (Seattle) is a wonderful store with very kind and helpful staff. My brother, Steve Teusink, who lived for 66 years with severe cerebral palsy did all of his shopping in recent years at Shoreline Safeway, as it was located close to his group home and he could get there in his electric wheelchair. Before the covid pandemic, he would shop almost every day, purchasing a few items. It was his daily out-of-the-house activity. Since he was unable to reach the items himself, one of the workers would help him and then assist him in paying with his debit card. One time in the Summer of 2019 I accompanied him to the store and as we entered, the friendly store manager came over to check me out and make sure Steve was with someone safe and then she told me how much they enjoyed Steve's daily visits and what a pleasure it was to assist him. My parents prayed that people would be kind to my completely vulnerable brother and these angels at Shoreline Safe certainly were. Steve died 10 days ago but his life was blessed and made happier by these dear friends. ❤️
