Located next to Silver Lake, this campground, in addition to spaces for RVs, had spaces for tent camping, some cabins, and motel rooms. And being on the lake, people were also boating and fishing.

As a local and been going there since 2016. Found out today it's been SOLD again and supposedly they don't honor our $60 campstamps. This lake is going under , as far as bank fishing. Camp stamp is from this year. I don't usually post. I had several negative encounters from them. Today I was not surprised. For a struggling community and the people who live here and support them ? EVEN off the Docks in winter. All I can say is you are sinking.

I absolutely love this place!!Definitely 5 stars! I've been there twice, rented a cabin both times and last June when I was there I stayed a few days extra so i stayed in the motel there..That was really nice with a awesome view..There is so much to do there I honestly want to move to Castle Rock now. The cabins are really nice the staff is very friendly . Also the guy in the trailer that takes care of the property he was very nice..And I can't forget Taco their cat, I let him sleep inside the cabins both times...Highly recommend this place!!Nearby activities: MT. St Helens is right there it's cool to drive up to the Johnston Ridge to see the volcano

We loved this little motel on the lake. The room had everything we needed. It was so nice to be able to leave the balcony door open at night and hear the sounds of the lake. The rooms are a little dated, but it adds to the overall charm. The host was so friendly and provided us information on local restaurants and places to see. We were able to unpack our kayaks and walk them a very short distance down to the lake. From the middle of the lake, you can see both Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens! Silver lake is very calm and easy to navigate. The motel is also super close to the Mt St Helens interpretive center. We would definitely stay again.Rooms: Rooms are a little dated, but they have microwave, fridge, oven, fan, balcony right over the water.Nearby activities: Silver Lake and Mt St Helens interpretive center is less than a mile away.Safety: Very safe place. There were lots of families and kids, but it was also nice and quiet at night.Walkability: Not really walkable to anything other than Silver Lake.

We stayed for the annual boat races. We stayed in a cabin. The cabin was a little dated but it was a great and relaxing stay. The grounds are clean as well.

This resort was really good to stay at. My dad and I had a good look over the lake. The ones behind the cashier were very kind, welcoming, and helpful, being able to joke around with them. There are two cats there that are super adorable and friendly. The one complaint I have is loud footsteps above me. In the end, it was a really good hotel to stay at with good beds, and kitchen section and a good bathroom.

We had a very nice stay at Silver Lake Resort. What made it special was we had rental car issues (flat tire with no spare) and were stranded 35 minutes away from the Resort (no ride sharing in the vicinity). We called the Resort manager, George, at 915 pm on a Wed. night and he didn't hesitate to come get us. Same issue in the morning - no rideshares available - so he dropped what he was doing at the Resort and brought us back to get our replacement rental car (40 minutes away from the Resort). He clearly went above and beyond and for that we are extremely grateful.Nearby activities: Hiking at Seaquest SP and hiking around Mt. St. Helens

Resort is not the word I'd use. Location is excellent, and the lake is beautiful. The cabins are very, very basic. Cabins are tiny, but I guess everyone is there to be outdoors. Nothing terrible, but definitely more of a fishing trip with the guys place than a family vacation place. Everything was adequate, clean enough, but not really a family vibe. I didn't feel comfortable letting the teens run around outside without us, partially because we saw that people were carrying handguns. (Very personal decision, no judgement, just wasn't risking it.) Our family had two cabins. One had a musty smell, but the other was fine. That said, it was convenient to go to the Mt St Helen's Visitors Centre, which was our goal.

From the moment we made our reservation, to the time that we checked out our experience at the Silver Lake Resort was TOP NOTCH 5/5 Stars! The gentleman that reserved our 3 night stay was so helpful and answered all of our questions with nothing but kindness. We were set to arrive for three nights in cabin 8 with our 2 dogs {1 service, 1 non} arriving in the evening time. As soon as we pulled up to the site the host was waiting for our arrival. From the start he was so helpful and kind giving us what we needed to start our stay. The cabin was more than we expected as it was a 2 bedroom fully equipped place. It felt like nostalgia for me and the times I would go fishing with my grandpa. We had our own kitchen and they provided utensils, a coffee maker, a pan, a pot and dishes so we could make our own food. It was quite cold being by the lake and the time of year {February} and when we entered the cabin the heat was on and it was so warm and toasty which was very much needed! There was a TV with cable, 2 twin beds, a shower with warm water and decent water pressure. Cabin 8 was right by the lake and we had our own view with a fire-pit and picnic table/bench. We were able to fish right there so it was very convenient. We had a great nights sleep the first night and in the morning we were greeted with cheer by every person on site. They have a little store with main amenities that you'd need for your stay {batteries, fishing gear, a barista shop, ice, wood etc.} We needed milk and the host directed us to a grocery store about 4 miles away from the site in Toutle. It was a quick and easy drive and the store had everything we needed, from liquor to snacks and meals and anything you may have forgotten at home. Overall our stay was very quiet and every person was beyond friendly. The host was available for us at all times and he made us feel that no question was too small to ask. We went to Castle Rock {about another 4 miles the opposite direction} to browse and find a restaurant to eat at. The town of Castle Rock is adorable and each person we encountered were so helpful and nice. Silver Lake Resort is conveniently located by anything that you'd want to find/need. I would 100% recommend staying here whether it's for fishing/camping or just want a night out at a super cool friendly place! We'll definitely be back again and are grateful to have found this place.

Even though the resort was essentially closed for the season, the staff helped me with lodging in a great cabin with view of the lake. The Manager, Kathleen was very helpful and informative regarding the resort and nearby areas. I highly reccomend this resort and plan to bring the entire family back here during the summer months.

Loved this resort so so much ! The hosts are so incredibly friendly and nice ! Always willing to help with anything you may need to make your vacation better or easier. The resort is well kept by the hosts and anything you need is available in the store. The price for the accommodations can’t be beat either. This resort is relaxing and fun! The lady host was my favorite she is friendly and easy to talk to.Thanks for all you did for us!

This place is very picturesque and only about 40-45 miles away from Mount Saint Helens which is a must-see on a very clear day. Silver lake was quiet comfy and cozy and the people who work there are friendly and accommodating and a wonderful place to take a break from all the technology that we're addicted to. this place is superb and beautiful.
