"I just switched to AT&T and it was nightmare". I can feel everyone who ever warned me against this carrier collectively cringing when I say that despite my horrible experience, I blame the individual person responsible and not the company itself. I'd also like to mention I've done my time in customer service just like everyone else and understand how difficult it can be, however, I never once went out of my way to make my problems someone else's.I purchased a galaxy S23, a galaxy watch and galaxy buds from the AT&T Hilltop store. My phone number was ported from another carrier at time of purchase and both the phone and watch were shipped to me the next day. I brought both my old phone (S21) and my new phone (S23) into the Hilltop location the next day in order to activate the S23 and finish set up. The only people in the store were a male associate and another female customer.I noticed the associate was very friendly and warm with the other customer yet disagreeable and cold with me. Looking back on it now it makes sense, it was another associate who made the sale why bother helping someone with zero opportunity for commission? Either way it just went down hill from there (pun not intended).First, he told me he couldn't help me and to either come back to Hilltop later in the day when his colleague was on shift or to go to the corporate store. When I was preparing to walk out the door, the associate changed his mind stating he would "multitask" and help both me and the other customer simultaneously. So I stayed. Thus my journey into Hilltop Hell begins. The associate told me that there wasn't enough room on the S23 (256GB) to transfer the data from my old phone (roughly 127GB) and that some of the data would need to be deleted. Not wanting to prolong my stay in purgatory, I gave him permission to delete all of my text messages and then (magically) there was enough room to complete the transfer which took about 5 minutes.Once the data transfer was complete the associate inserted the SIM card into the S23, went silent for several seconds, then stated he needed to call his boss and rushed to the back room where he stayed for several minutes. Imagine my shock when he emerged from the back room and told me he could not activate the S23 because my phone number did not successfully port from the prior carrier (even though the associate who sold me the phone said otherwise) and told me to go to the corporate store to fix the issue. Now being stuck with two glorified paperweights I had no choice but to comply. The service I received at the corporate store was much better. I explained what happened at the Hilltop location with regard to them not being able to complete setup due to the phone number (allegedly) not being ported properly. The corporate associate took my new phone and looked through it for a couple seconds. He rolled his eyes and said "No. You were lied to. Whoever helped you just didn't want to do their job." He continued to explain he would try to help me, but if he was not successful there would be a conversation between his manager and the manager of the Hilltop store. Luckily he found the issue pretty quickly; The SIM card had not been inserted correctly. Once the corporate store associate realized what happened he was super apologetic offering me a bag for my stuff stating I was welcome to come back anytime if I needed assistance in the future.Hilltop store manager and whomever is concerned - the associate never provided his name but I can tell you when I was /2023 at around 11am. As I mentioned previously he was the only employee in store at the time so you do the math. Also, if an employee is that willing to lie to a customer without any forethought, I can only imagine how honest they are with the people they work for. Just food for thought, good luck!Corporate store manager - I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience in your store. I wish I knew the name of the individual who assisted me, he was very helpful.

Terrible experience today. We wanted to add a phone to our existing plan. The guy tried to upsell us and lied to us about fees and rates to convince us on the upsell. We left and went to the other AT&T store (went to the company store instead of this reseller) and got the truth and a much lower cost than what the other store was upselling. Will never come back here

I had some of the worst customer service at the Kitsap Mall store I was told that they were not taking cash when I went in to go pay my bill yesterday I was told I have to take my business elsewhere in order to pay my bill They were only willing to take my business if I had a card to pay with. Never have I received this poor treatment from my service carrier completely dissatisfied and fed up with the poor customer service they want to show in person ?

Friendly phone sales experts that are happy to assist you with your smart phone needs in Silverdale, Washington. Stop by The Trails shopping center for a great selection of iPhones and Samsung Galaxy series phones. Lots of phone cases to choose from as well as air buds and pods. Located near Chipotle. Sean does a great job! Let him help you with all your questions.

Went in to change a cell number, was told the only way to do this was to add a new line and then call to cancel old line. Well that was a straight up lie. When I call customer service they stated I did not need a new line to change number and defiantly did not need a new sim to just change the number.

Paul, a sales associate, out and out lied and did not stand by his word. He and his manager were so full of double talk and baloney they had my head spinning.Shame on AT&T.I do not understand how you can make a deal one week, and a week later have a whole other story. supposedly the trade in phone had gone down in value by $5. So they could no longer allow the $300 discount that had led to the sales agreement.I call baloney, if you make a deal, an agreement, your word and corporate policy should support the agreement.Take you business to another phone service provider, AT&T has bad support policy for the consumer.

Showed up during operating hours (monday @10 am) only to find they have ‘temporary store hours’ that show it’s actually closed today. We live in the most advanced technological age in history and this is a tech company who can’t update their hours online. Unbelievable

Stephen the sales rep stayed late to help me switch from another carrier. He went above and beyond and was the most knowledgeable and helpful service rep I have dealt with.
