Bloodwork’s NW does *NOT* pay their plasma donors like other donation centers.I looked everywhere online to find this out and it isn’t addressed anywhere, even on their website. They should consider adding that information to their extensive info page on plasma. Finally, I just called and asked them directly, and they confirmed that none of their donors are compensated in any way.Pro bono donation is a noble thing to do, and I do believe paying for whole blood donations isn’t even legal anyway. This isn’t a criticism of Bloodworks (notice the 5 ⭐️ rating.) But paid plasma donation has saved me on bills and rent many times. I’ve done it a hundred times at least. Now that I’ve moved to the PNW, I was excited to see find a donation center nearby. If Bloodworks paid their plasma donors, I’d be in there twice a week. Sadly, without that compensation, I can’t afford that drive on a regular basis.

Efficient, prompt, friendly. Nicest blood bank I've ever been to. The tech had "be kind" tattooed on her wrist. A good reminder. I'll be back regularly.

I like donating blood cause it makes me feel like I'm doing something good, the needle tick makes sure I'm not getting weak, and there is free food at the end. Every so often they will give out a small gift card which is cool.I refuse to donate to the red cross cause they are surprisingly shady organisation, so I donate blood here instead. The staff is always nice, there is plenty of parking, and the community is very safe.

I took the time to register and set up an appointment to donate blood, only to drive all the way out there and have them tell me they didn't have any appointment for me. They said I wasn't registered yet somehow had all my information in their system, so how's that possible.I am trying to help out the community in Kitsap by giving blood since I have a rare type that they say they need, but they can't even get their own **** together to allow someone to help them out. It's no wonder Kitsap is low on blood if this is the only place to donate.

Staff can be horrifically rude. A few nice employees but a few need to go crawl back in their troll hole. They are rude and overly bossy and have zero people skills. I don't think they calibrate their machines correctly either for testing.

Terrible front desk set-up. Usually takes me over an hour to get into a chair, regardless of how busy they are. Actually medical/blood draw staff are professional and know their gig, but you wouldn't know it from the reception process.

It's weird, I know, to leave a review for a blood donation center, but honestly, the folks at Bloodworks Northwest make a somewhat squeamish experience easy and, dare I say it, fun! That's all I have to say on the subject bedsides BE A BLOOD DONOR, PEOPLE! It's a really, really, really important thing to do. NOTE: After you're done donating, hip across the road to Down East Fish. Delicious reward for being a brave human!

I routinely give platelets and am happy to see that the opportunity (though a bit different today) is still available. The staff is friendly, giving is easy and almost always without any measurable discomfort. The automated advance check-in process was a stroke of genius!

I’ve always enjoyed coming here and donating, I’ve been doing it for over 10 years. The phlebotomists are wonderful and very professional. But the front desk and snack station ladies aren’t very pleasant to deal with. They could be more friendly and smile once in awhile.

These are some of the best phlebotomists I've seen, and I was a Hospital Corpsman for 7 years. Also, everyone is as friendly and helpful as you could want. They give snacks and drinks after your donation and save the bottles to be reused as soap bottles for the homeless too.

I’ve recently had my first visit to the Bloodworks Northwest Silverdale Center to donate platelets. It was my first time not giving whole blood so at first, donating platelets seemed like it would be more “sketchy” and overall risky.

The people working and volunteering make it worth going to donate. Great bunch of people that seem to enjoy being there and it shows in their smiles.
