Most upsetting experience. It shines a light on how Kitsap and/or their employees deal with with invisible disabilities accomodations and consent to being touched by a employee.I opened an account online and had to go into show ID documentation.I went into the branch and there was a wait. I have a medical condition and needed hydration and food. She told me they couldn't save my place BUT DID SAY I could get in the next slot if I missed my name called, as long as it wasn't hours. When I returned, the lovely teller I spoke with was busy but told me they JUST called my name.I had to deal with a woman with messy dark hair, oversized glasses and in a sweatshirt. She was snarky and presumptuous to the point of humiliating. After listening to her other interactions, her attitude was exclusively to me. She would not let me complete a sentence, because she argued with me before I could get anything out.She kept on saying that she would me they would not let me cut in line and how i fair it would be. Tried to explain the previous conversation, medical issue and I was asking for disability accommodation. She wouldn't let me get a full sentence out. I told her I felt like she was being condescending. She told me I was paranoid and taking it the wrong way. Very much like gaslighting.I asked please just get me to someone else, as we were not communicating well. She clapped out a few words on the keyboard and said that she asked them. I asked her to highlight it was for a medical disability. She did not type anything out but said she would. She took no action. I asked again and she told me she did.I went stood by the restroom as I wasn't feeling well. She came over and we we both in a tight hallway and told me no they would not do that. I asked even if it was an accommodation for a disability. She said No it didn't matter it wasn't fair to everyone else, it had nothing to do with the medical. It was the only thing it had to do with.I let her know that is was a poor reflection on Kitsap on how they dealt with people with invisible disabilities. When in fact a disability is the only reason for this situation. She started getting aggressive and rude. I told me if I wanted to stay to open account I could. I said NO and that I was leaving. She said okay, good and then PUT HER HAND ON MY RIGHT ARM AND BEGAN TO PUSH ME TO THE DOOR.I immediately began to speak assertively and told her to "keep your hands off of me, do not push me, do not ever touch me, you do not ever touch anyone without their permission. I do not consent to being touch and pushed by her "She jump back ad. Immediately began to apologize. "I didn't mean. I didn't mean to touch you I'm sorry I'm sorry."THEN she tried to blame it on me. She told me that she felt threatened and that she was going to call the police. The sheriff showed up and spoke to me and them. Of cours, she completely denies everything and blamed me.I told him I wanted to press charges. He said there was nothing he could do but was going to write it up and send it to the prosecutor office.I am seeking legal advice about the discrimination, as well and pressing charges. Both the managers sat very politely shaking their heads while I spoke, but still got the impression I was the one at fault.Being on a first name basis with the Sheriff was a bit concerning. It was left as I was being looked into and the videotapes are being looked are looked at.It's disgusting.

Much prefer the Port Orchard branch. This branch would not let me cash a check because they said this account has always had a low amount (because it’s my secondary account) and because it’s less than a year old account (10 months) considering we have had 4 vehicle loans through them the current totaling 60k and you think cashing a check less than 4k is suspicious is insulting.

This is the absolute worse banking establishment that has not one ounce of care or concern for their customers. Seven years ago my spouse was solicited for a pre approve line of credit! She utilized the card to only increase her credit score which was already in the higher 700's. After years of having this card and paying off her balances on time her credit score is lower and out of the thin blue air KCU decide to closed her account without contacting her or without any prior notification when in fact they owe her for an over payment on this credit card account. 7 years of great payment history just gone and now her credit score is in the dumps again because of their poor credit reporting practices! I nor my spouse WILL NEVER conduct any banking business with this banking establishment EVER again. I highly recommend NOT banking with this establishment.

I've called 4 times 4 different days, just to get my card verified for Apple Pay and every time I just get put on hold for 15 - 20 minutes because they say they "need some help" Then I end up being told there's nothing they can do at the moment and ask if I would like my o schedule a time for them to call back. Terrible customer service would not recommend banking with kitsap credit union.

Kitsap credit union is garbage, how are you going to add a fee for a payment over the phone and the online website and the lady over the phone was absolutely no help so much for nothing.

Removed all ATMs/service from Silverdale with no communication to customers whatsoever, and looks like they’re closing a location (only warning is the signs once you get there). Had to drive to another city to be able to make a transaction. Extremely disappointed in the response when I asked what happened and why there was no communication (was told there was vandalism, and to use other CU ATMs). If we can get multiple emails throughout the day during a previous service outage, there’s no reason this one had to come as an unpleasant surprise to customers.

This company solicited my business for a line of credit last fall. I took them up on their offer for a line of credit to help get me through the winter. I own a seasonal small business and was hit hard by the pandemic for 2 seasons straight, so needed the credit to make it through the off-season. Now, when you carry balances on your credit lines, your credit rating goes down. Me personally, and my business, always make payments. Never late, ever. I am talking back to 1992 before you could find a 30 day late on my credit; 30 years! But since I used the product that they solicited me for, my credit score went down. This is expected and normal. What was not expected and normal is that because my credit score went down (no late payments to anyone ever) they closed my account! Without warning me first, or calling to discuss, a notification on my online portal with them, nothing. A closed account is a ding on your credit. So thanks Kitsap; you have HURT my credit rating, even though at this time of year I am able to pay all these balances down to zero, as I had planned. When I called them they were unapologetic and really don't care that a closed account with a balance will hurt my credit, and as I pay everything off now that the season is starting again, my credit will not come back to where it was. So here it is in summary: 1. I was solicited by Kitsap credit union for a line of credit. 2. I took their offer, and used it. 3. It is normal that when you carry balances, your credit score will go down. It can also be expected to go back up some time after paying balances off. 4. Since I used what they offered me, my credit score went down. 5. Since my credit score went down (with no late payments ever to anyone) they cancelled my credit line and closed my account, with no notice and were just rude to me when I called after figuring it out. They will not re-instate it, even with a $100 limit. (My current balance) 6. Now my credit has a 'closed account' on it, which cannot be fixed by 'paying it off'. I have to wait 7 YEARS to get it off there. 7. Kitsap Credit Union sucks.

Had many loans thru KFCU over the last 47 years with no problems and good rates except for the last time for a new car where I had 50% down payment already, I had to join another credit union to get the best interest rate so payments now go with bill pay which for some reason take 8 days instead of immediate transfer between my accounts.

I love my branch of KCU. Regardless if I go in, drive thru, call or email, I’m always treated like a valued customer. They are patient, they listen, and they are more than willing to go the extra mile to help.
