We bought a washer and dryer from Lowe's. They were delivered last Friday(5/2/25) in the afternoon. It's Monday 5/5/25 in the morning.
They have a 48 hr return policy which I didn't realize counted the weekends.
I just left the store extremely disappointed they will not let me even exchange them for a more expensive set. The agitator in the machine makes it impossible to even fit a blanket in there!
They said there are no exceptions..
Awful company to deal with!!
Their policy is completely unsatisfactory!
I will never purchase Anything from them again! Beware...
It's not going to work out because of the huge agitator.
UPDATE!! They did the right thing after all!
The store emailed the next day and gave me the option to exchange the unsatisfactory set for a new one!
Even though it was a process it ended up fine.
I especially want to compliment the store employees!! They were so helpful. Thank you!

Beware, I ordered countertops, and following the measurements by the installation company, the cost more than doubled the initial estimate, close to tripled!! It makes no sense as my initial measurements that were used to determine the initial estimate were actually a bit larger than the pro measurements! The price should have decreased. They are charging me more than $300 a square foot!!! I have called and tried to chat and no response. Very disappointing.
It’s been almost a week since I called them and no response. I talked with two different people and nothing!!
Please do not support the Silverdale Lowe’s Home Improvement store!! You will be very disappointed!!!
So just a follow up, my initial estimate more than doubled almost tripled when they completed the final measurements. They made several mistakes and never called me or talk to me about any of the mistakes on the final price. I did not find out about any of the mistakes until I canceled the job.
While the lady I spoke with on the phone to cancel the job was very friendly and very helpful, the rest of the experience was a complete disaster. Lowes and their contractor floForm, made several mistakes and either tried to cover it up or just cheat me. I’m not sure if they were trying to cheat me or dishonest or just completely incompetent. Either way we’re gonna go with Home Depot or another small location.
After this dreadful experience, I am now convinced I will never again do business with Lowe’s.
All that said, I wanna make clear that all the people I dealt with at Lowe’s and their contractor were very pleasant and very respectful. I did greatly appreciate that.

Refund department needs people that profile. Veterans are not homeless drug users and should be treated with understanding. If a worker cant tell the diffence between them and call a manger to override protocal then they need a differnet job.

Online purchases are atrocious. Stay away. They will pre authorize your purchase. Then pre authorize each item in the shopping cart. Then they will try to authorize the entire shopping cart. Then they will run each purchase separately. All these authorization create separate holds on your account. If they do it enough, like they did to me, they will lock up your checking account with authorizations and then all your purchases will be denied. When you call to complain, they act like you have no money and it's your fault. My shopping cart had $1066 of merchandise. They charged my account so many times that my $3000 balance ended up at -$238. All ya can do is wait 7 days for the holds to fall off. They claim it's not them but their tactics are all over reddit.
Don't ever buy anything online from Lowe's or your money will be held hostage for a week and you won't get any of your purchase.
The worst part is they keep asking your for another form of payment after they locked up your first form of payment. It's not worth the hassle.
