They always take great care of my car. I bring it in for everything and they don't charge for things like low tire pressure, a branch removal stuck up underneath my car causing a scary sound. They're honest and affordable.

I work morning shifts for my job, so I’m very understanding of having places keep cars overnight to complete jobs. But I wouldn’t even drop my car off at this place to do the “basic inspection” because their judgement of good service is to tell you that they can’t actually work on your car unless you make an appointment in the morning (when I work) and they don’t tell you to make a follow up appointment for the morning the next day….
Poor management

No actual resolution here. I refused to even let them look at my car after the way my situation was handled. -0/10 experience

These guys are awesome. I made an appointment for an oil change, I requested that they change it to full synthetic and that wasn’t a problem they added the coupon for $10 off. They also don’t harass you to get stuff done on your car but highly encourage you to get certain things with their assessment. Always a good experience with these guys in Silverdale.

Always used this shop for several years, but after two big mistakes -- even after a change in ownership -- I was forced to find another mechanic. Before the change in ownership, Meineke replaced my Honda Civic 2012 engine in 2021 and did an excellent job. The engine is still running perfectly today. Although, shortly after we had the brakes completely done with rotors and pads replaced. Meineke elected to not change the drum brakes in the rear, with the rear drum brakes being OEM with over 150k miles. Predictably, the drum brakes failed a few months later.
After the change in ownership, I decided to return to Meineke to fix the drum brakes. Meineke recommended other stuff to be done, I respectively declined (a good decision, I would find out later).
Received the Honda 2012 back fully repaired, paid and left. Driving away I found damage on the driver's side window. Someone had taken a tool and dug deeply into the window causing a noticeable scratch down the middle (also another scratch in another location on the inside of the window). In addition, both windows tint (2-door coupe) were speckled with holes -- causing noticeable damage to the tint on the inside of the window (perhaps done with a blow torch or heat). Someone decided to damage the tint on both sides of the window and dig a tool into the window.
I returned to talk to the owner, he would accept no responsibility whatsoever. I tried to explain to him, its about the principle of the matter as well as the physical damage to the vehicle. Someone did this on purpose from inside the vehicle. So there was no way this was vandalism. It was caused by someone who had access to the vehicle. I also tried to explain to him, "this was not an accident, someone clearly took a tool and dug it into the window, also the tint was damaged from the inside". There is no way the damage occurs without "intent to cause damage".
And for anyone doubting an owner would notice the damage, it was multiple areas and two different types of damage -- easily noticeable by anyone who drives their vehicle on a daily basis. Tint is quite durable and can only be damaged from the inside. The damage was not caused by any type of accident. If I were to have caused the damage, I would have had to do it on purpose. The only explaination, was that the owner hired people that were not responsible. And when the car was left inside the shop, someone decided to sit inside the vehicle and mess around to cause damage. Perhaps, the workers were upset because I declined extra service or maybe they thought the owner would not notice or complain.
Regardless, the owner was an extremely stubborn older guy -- who was not going to take responsibility and obviously "did not give a crap". Mechanics don't need to worry about losing a few customers, they can easily find new people to fund their shop. Only the special ones have real integrity. I wished him well, filed a report with my credit card and was able to get what I considered a fair portion of the money off my credit card. The drum brake job was completed, but the physical damage was done -- and I was done trusting Silverdale Mieneke along with the new owner.
I am a reasonable person, and I would have been willing to work something out and continue to return as a customer. Instead, here we are. Money returned, I will never return, and no one I know will return. This could have been avoided, but the owner is not reasonable. He is an older dude, massively stubborn and ignorant. Anyways, was not worth arguing over an older vehicle, find another mechanic with integrity. I spent thousands at this shop, I wasn't a new customer. I should have earned at least some respect based on money spent at the shop.
