Normally I've had great service when I've visited this branch before. But the teller I got today was very inconsiderate. I usually avoid using a teller cause I can't stand for too long because of my disability. But I waited in line for 10 min cause I had rolled change and couldn't use the ATM. A couple of my penny rolls were off by 2 cents and I had to move them around. The teller told me I would need to get back in line. Really. I'm doing your job, and you want me to get back in line and wait longer for $1.00 cause you don't have a good system for checking rolled change. I left pissed. It will be the last time I use teller service for rolled change at that bank. It's definitely the worst customer service I've ever had at that Silverdale location.

Have had multiple instances of working with incompetent member representatives who did not understand the application process of NFCU products.

Excellent service. Now that Covid restrictions have lifted the wait times are less and last time we were in and out in less than 15 min. We always come here first to get a car loan because very often they have better rates. But beware of their Mortgage service as I have not heard any good things. Customer service from the tellers is also excellent, and they will take time to explain the process to my kids when they make transactions.

Unlike the 1 star reviews posted for the Silverdale NFCU branch, we have nothing but positive things to say regarding the customer service we have received in the 21 years we have been using this branch out of the 26 years we've been members of NFCU, both stateside and abroad in the Philippines & Italy. I'm docking them a star only because their automated phone system, just like many other businesses nowadays. There is NO FAST WAY to speak directly with a live human being without going thru a menu of several items to ascertain the reason for your call.

Incompetent people working a customer service type of job is why I left navy federal after my deployment, but this branch takes the cake . Lucy a navy federal rep has no respect for her customers and lacks compassion as well. Instead of asking a more knowledgeable navy fed representative, she let my fiancé sit in silence for a hour and thirty minutes, just to tell her I can't help you and pretty much told her it is what it is my hands are tied.

Opened a savings account in 2019. Was told I needed to deposit $5 dollars to open. Shortly after covid hit. Didn't use this account but received a letter or email about it now then. Received an email last month that stated would need to deposit at least $50 to avoid a quarterly fee. No problem. Went in to do this and was told they closed it 6-9 months after opening. WTH??? Why on earth would they have sent letters and emails about the account for the last 3 years??? According to the teller its just what they do. Is this credit union officially nuts??? Of course, NONE of this was stated when opening the account. They wouldn't even return my $5 deposit from 2019 claiming it was a membership fee. Wasn't labeled as that back in 2019. Pathetic company.Always a joy to deal with an entity where the right hand has absolutely no clue what the left hand is doing, and criteria involving accounts are not provided at time of opening. What kind of people are you hiring??Pretty clear to see why there is such a monumental amount of negative reviews.

I wish I could give zero stars. They have the WORST customer service. And they love to band people from their branch for NO reason at all and they won't give u a warning if they do either. They need to figure themselves out before they try blaming their customers for their problems they create only to band the customers, while the employees get no punishment at all.

I hope this review is helpful for the branch manager when training staff. I went in to the branch to open up a checking account. To be fair, we arrived at 15 mins to closing but was seen very quickly. The representative that opened up our account didn't have us finish completing the application since we had an existing access number. They did not confirm any information when establishing the account; I had to ask if this had an overdraft account linked to it and they selected one without first checking if that was ok. I had to request to select a different account which they changed but seemed inconvenienced to do so. Obviously, they were in a hurry to wrap up the transaction. We were issued a debit card on the spot and thought all was fine. We did not discover until we got home that we couldn't access the account online because we couldn't have the verification code sent to us; it turns out the representative mistyped both email and phone number so we had to spend more time correcting this by contacting NFCU customer service. We found this to be not only inconvenient for this rework, but also hasty and careless of the representative in the branch. Otherwise, banking with NFCU has been fine these past several years, with the exception of this specific branch representative.
