This was my first visit to Broadstroke for my 2022 Mini. These guys did a great job with my service and are cheaper than dealer service. They also performed a very thorough checkout of the entire car. Will be bringing my Mini here for all future appointments.

5 Stars – Broad Stroke Auto Repair Saved My X5 (and My Sanity!)
I’ve got a 2018 BMW X5 with the factory air suspension, and if you own one, you know the rear airbags love to fail right after you think you’ve fixed them. A few months ago I had both rear air bags replaced at another shop, only for the system to start leaking down again within weeks. The car would sag overnight, the compressor was running constantly, and I was staring at another huge bill. I was dreading taking it anywhere else.
I brought it to Broad Stroke Auto Repair in Snohomish on a recommendation from a local BMW group, and I’m beyond glad I did. My service advisor Will was outstanding from the very first phone call: super friendly, patient, and actually listened to the whole frustrating story without rushing me. He asked all the right questions, explained everything clearly, and gave me a fair, honest quote to properly diagnose the system.
Will kept me updated every step of the way. Based on their findings, the previous shop did install Arnott airbags but unfortunately those would give out if not installed correctly (a common issue) with the compressor burning itself out trying to compensate for a leak. The previous shop should have recommended replacing the compressor to avoid this problem in the first place! Will sent me photos of the damaged airbags and had already recommended a new compressor with a work invoice. Will and the techs sourced top-quality Arnott air bags, installed a new compressor, replaced the failing relay, and pressure-tested the entire system. The X5 now sits perfectly level, rides smooth and quiet, and the compressor barely runs – just like it did when it was new!
Based on my research on current market data from repair estimators, parts suppliers, and owner forums, the total that I spent to repair the vehicle fell on the fair-to-good side of the spectrum—especially with the included 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, which exceeds the typical 1-2 years from most shops and adds real value for a luxury vehicle like yours.
Will and the whole team at Broad Stroke are knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely friendly. They clearly know German cars inside and out, and they treated my BMW like it was their own.
If you’re anywhere near Snohomish and need real mechanics you can trust (especially with tricky air suspension or any BMW work), ask for Will at Broad Stroke Auto Repair. I won’t take my X5 anywhere else now.
Highly, highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Took my mini in for an inspection due to a coolant leak, I found the staff to be very friendly and professional, the inspection completed on the car was also very thorough and they picked up on a number of issues with the vehicle which need to be rectified.
The quoted prices are however unreasonable - quoting $202.56 for four spark plugs! plus $269.53 labour, $501.74 for a valve cover gasket etc. I understand the need to make a profit but someone with even a basic understanding of car repairs can see that this is simply unreasonable, as is quoting for brake cleaning fluid on most jobs. I guess if your insurance company or a warranty is paying you wouldn't care but then that's why premiums are so high and at the end of the day the customer is fobbed off.
Bear in mind this was a mini, not a Ferrari, yes a BMW product but something is amiss with the marked up parts and labour, I don't see that it's fair practice and question how they come up with these labour quotes.

Broad Stroke has been great to work with to maintain my BMW. From the always warm & friendly greeting and explanations provided by their team of service advisors, to their crew of experienced technicians, I’ve been very pleased with every visit. Pricing has been reasonable and turnaround time for repairs and maintenance quicker than I’ve been able to get from the Lynnwood and Bellevue dealership shops. Broad Stroke includes a thorough check-up of my vehicle and shares the report along with photos and helpful descriptions of any issues found. For example, they pinpointed a water pump failure when the dealership shop missed it completely. They helped me understand the issue and get it replaced under warranty when the dealership wasn’t at all helpful. Now that they’ve broadened their services to ALL makes & models, we will be using Broad Stroke to also maintain our Toyota, Ford, Audi & Hyundai. Their location and ease of access with available appointments is a bonus.

The shop had my truck for about three weeks. When I dropped it off I left a folder with a diagnostics report, notes on what I’d already done, and what I thought the problem was. The first thing on that list was the fuel pump and system.
The first repair for a vacuum leak made sense. The second repair for the distributor cap, rotor and cables was fine but it didn’t fix the misfires. The third repair was the fuel pump and system, which is what I had said from the start, and that finally fixed it.
I also mentioned that I’d already replaced the idle air control valve, but they put a new one in and charged for it which was frustrating. I get that mechanics have to check things their own way, but it felt like the info I gave wasn’t really used.
I also didn’t know they had a loaner car program until a week in.
Glad the truck’s running right now and the team was friendly, but overall I left a little disappointed with how it all went.

Brennen and the team at Broad Stroke did a fantastic job overhauling the cooling and AC systems on my 1992 BMW 850i. The team was incredibly communicative during the entire process and all services were completed with no issues.
