I had a problem with the ATM machine capturing a check without the funds being applied to my account. On Saturday I was able to go in person to the branch. I was expecting a fight but instead I was met with care, understanding and empathy from Charity the branch manager. She assisted me in completing the process and made it possible to receive the small amount of money in my account. I'm still waiting to hear that the funds have been applied to my account but because of the experience I'm NOT WAITING IN A PANICKED A PANICKED STATE OF MIND.
THANK YOU CHARITY AND KUDOS TO WHO EVER HIRED HER.
I have finally had a pleasant banking experience!

Previously I had a very poor experience with this bank. However, in returning to the bank I spoke with a different banker, Luis Martinez. He was very helpful and changed my entire opinion about the bank. He understood the situation and was so competent and professional that I am retracting my previous poor rating and editing the review. Give that man a raise. He single handedly changed my opinion of key bank and the situation has been handled perfectly. Thank you Mr. Martinez.

Have been with Keybank now since I believe 2019. Everything was fine until recently.
Have a few accounts with them. Banking, loans, and a credit card.
Have always been on time and in good standing with all of the accounts.
Call into the branch because my husband's chip wasn't working on his credit card. Wanted to get a new one ordered. Was going to give him mine to use, but the one I had was outdated. So we asked for a new one for me too. They said I wasn't on the account. So he then just asked for a new card for him, and we'd figure it out for me at a later time.
10 business days past. I got an email from Credit Karma saying one of my accounts was closed. (The one I wasn't supposedly on) called the bank, and they said due to the amount being paid (slightly over the requested minimum and a recent credit check), they decided to close the account. Didn't know credit could be pulled without my knowledge or ok.
Didn't get any correspondence about any of this. No letters, no emails... weren't even made aware of the situation when calling in requesting a new card, which was maybe 12-14 days prior.
Wasn't until after making contact with them that mail started rolling in to me (who wasn't even on the account, letters being sent to my previous address where I haven't lived in almost 3 years.) Then, all of a sudden, today, a letter for the account addressed to my husband and myself to our home in regards to this account... It seems you all have made a huge mistake on a few things, and we will be terminating our banking with you all as this has put a bad taste in our mouths. Saying I'm not on the account, when clearly I'm getting credit reports and mail in regard to this. Not getting any literature on what changes your establishment may have made since receiving the card, seeing your mailing to multiple addresses. And pulling credit when you want.
I will continue with my review on Yelp and on my social media platforms, letting others know that this is the way you treat your customers and what you do to those that are paying requested amounts on the dates specified and outline in the agreements we can see. Because even on the back of your bill, I'm looking at now, says nothing about what we were told over the phone. Can't say one thing and do another... not how contracts work.
The part that gets me most... is it says right on the credit card bill the minimum amount due, and if that is what we end up paying for the duration of the balance, one would pay more in interest in the long run. So instead of letting us maintain the card, paying our asked minimum payment on time and paying that balance on the current debt, making YOUR establishment money, you cut it off. Mind blown.
Will be paying this debt off and going to one of our other banking institutions for future banking needs, keybank was just a convenience with my husbands job as his employer banks with you, perhaps we can talk them into closing their account too, since they were the ones who referred us. You have burnt this bridge, and I will NOT recommend you to anyone searching for a banking establishment. As a top reviewer, this review will be seen by a lot here on Google and on social media.
Would be zero stars if I could... Do yourself a favor. DONT BANK WITH KEYBANK!

Fred, Shelli, and Connor are the BEST! The rest of the crew are as well, but I'm on 1st name basis with these three as they are usually the tellers working when I visit. I'm shocked that this location doesn't have a 5 star rating. I never wait long, they always have my change order bundled and faced (I'm super OCD about that!) and they are SO friendly, kind, patient, and helpful. They deserve 5 stars all day long! Do not go here if you need a notary.Unless you like frustration and disappointment. Every notary that I have used before had an ink stamp they would place on my document requiring the location (city & state), date, etc. The young woman here said that I would need to type (not write it) that information on my document before she could notarized it. I went to the UPS store nearby and they used an ink stamp without any issues.

Really disappointed being a customer for over 9 years and lately checks that I deposit they put a hold, latest one was yesterday my funds cleared and I was able to transfer funds to another KeyBank account if mine and by the time I arrived to the bank to withdrawal money they said that there was a hold on the check, manager from the key bank I was at where I deposit the check at called the bank issuer and checked that the funds where clear and already in KeyBank possession but looks like Khaled Wich is the manager from this branch didn't felt comfortable releasing the funds and said that funds will be available on the second of next month amazing right i had already schedule an appointment for next week to open some business accounts but with this experience i been having i have cancel them this is ridiculous i share this to see if thishas happened to anyone also or are they discriminating and humiliating using their power they have over there branch or is it racism due to my ethnicity any input out there?

Today I needed to get a cashier's check. So I needed to go inside the bank. It was the first time in a long time since I'd been in the bank and the first during covid 19 epidemic. I have difficulty standing for any length of time so was concerned if I was going to have to stand a long time. When my son and I approached the bank a very nice security guard opened the door for us. There were a couple customers in line waiting for their turn. The floor was marked for social distancing. There were a set of chairs off to the side that I was able to sit, while my son stood in line, until our turn. I want to say that the teller was an angel and helped in every way. Pleasant,professional and went above and beyond. Another employee asked if he could help while I was sitting to the side. I have been a member of this bank for close to 30 years and still happy with my service. Everyone was great! Especially the teller( wish I got her name!) And the friendly security guard. I want to thank them for making a stressful chore a very pleasant experience. ?
