We took our male dog in that has anxiety and allergies, after they gave him flea meds he’s had issues with in the past. My wife questioned them about it and why they didn’t call first. They apparently removed us from availability to see their office, but didn’t send a letter, email, phone call. Until we made an appointment and confirmed. Then they called my phone instead of my wife’s phone . It’s unfortunate the owner/ vet is very nice and helpful. The rest of the staff were not so nice. At least the manager could’ve been the one to call or talk to my wife vs just have her sit on hold for 20 mins when she had called back.

They were so sweet and made me feel comfortable as a first time dog owner establishing vet care and were helpful and knowledgeable about questions I had.

I have two geriatric dogs that have been coming here for years, possibly a decade. When we moved to the area I heard this was a good veterinary clinic... and it was. I loved the veterinarians and the services. The care has changed. The front desk attendants seem tired, probably under paid and unhappy. The new veterinarians don't seem to care about the animals. They just want to try to push tests, new appointments and add on expenses. I don't feel appreciated for being a paying customer at this office. I miss the great services and care at our previous vet, but unfortunately we moved. I really do not want this vet to be where my dogs die. I will continue to spread the word among all of my own friends, family and customers in the area.
Update: We made the move to another veterinary office. I regret not doing it sooner. The front desk staff was kind and welcoming. The doctor had great bedside manner... was very personable. Actually sat down and talked to me. I don't think any of the vets at this office ever sat down and had personable conversation with me. So I have to thank the front desk attendant with the turquoise hair for being rude to a 9/10 year customer, that was the push I needed to find quality care for my old babies. What happened was the attendant was condescending when I asked for a refill on my dogs medicine. She said it's been a while since my dog was seen... she was just seen 3 months ago. This is also why I feel like they try to make money. They wanted another appointment. They definitely need to work on being personable, kind and professional. There is no way I would deal with getting treated poorly somewhere I've spent thousands of dollars for care (no joke). My dogs have gotten a lot done here.

Very good service, wait time wasn’t long at all. Dr. Kristen Dahlin was very sweet and took care of my hamster.

Took over a month to get seen. It feels incredibly unsanitary inside; 20- and 30 year old posters still hung, so I know they haven't been cleaned behind. It gives me hoarder vibes.
I expect some amount of pet smell however it REEKED of stale urine.
They took my pet away for shots, which I feel was unnecessary and counterintuitive to providing comfortable care, leading to me being distrustful in their handling of my pet.
I asked about charges when scheduling my visit but was charged unexpectedly for things that were not disclosed to me and I wasn't provided with all of the care I asked for (which I would have known had they not taken my pet away). They also sent promotional e-mails to the provided email address, making me extremely uncomfortable about my data privacy.
Their prices seemed unusually high and having since been to other better vets in the area, I received more competent care for lower costs in all of them, including the walkthrough of information from the vets themselves.
All in all, I would feel uncomfortable returning to this clinic.
EDIT: hi. It’s been about a year and I received a letter for overdue payment from this vet. The letter does not describe what this payment is apparently for. I paid the full amount of what was charged the day of my appointment, and there was no disclosure to me about any further payments in any other case. The letter threatens to send my “outstanding debt” to collections (again, no description of what this supposed payment is for) They do not answer my phone calls in regard to this.
Whatever they decided to charge me after I left that business is not my problem.
Ironically, the letter also states that they can not continue a business relationship with me if it remains unpaid, which is great, because I wouldn’t step foot in that decrepit piss palace ever again regardless of their random fraudulent charges.

Overrated. They aren't as good as they think they are. They lie. They tell you one thing and then do another and charge you all the same.

The medical team was second to none. The technician and doctor were extremely knowledgeable and I felt they really cared about my fur babies.
Prior to our appointment the practice was very informative and communication was awesome.

We used to only use Spanaway Vet. We won’t be back. It looks like they’re only about money now and not helping people or their pets. Treat your clients and their pets better SVC. You’re taking advantage of people when they are feeling vulnerable. You should be ashamed at your level of service.

Our visits are always seem a bit much for these poor souls at this clinic and make me feel bad. Our pup doesn’t appreciate their kindness or desire to care for her unfortunately and turns into sonic the hedgehog and ends up in a muzzle. That being said, the staff is fantastic, we take both of our dogs and our kitty here and we always have a great experience. The waiting room is large with 2 areas, with one being fairly closed off which is extremely helpful. There’s a potty area outside with bags and a can. We’ve never seemed to wait more than maybe 10 mins after our appointment time on possibly 1 occasion, but we have to consider there are emergencies and if it were one of ours I would appreciate them seeing my fur kids right away between patients. Communication from the Veterinarians is clear and I’ve only had 1 experience with a Vet where I didn’t feel heard when we were discussing an issue that was occurring. Overall, I would recommend this clinic for anyone’s consideration of treatment for their animals.

I texted to cancel because I woke up throwing up and they said it is a $100 no show fee if you do not cancel within 24 hours. They did not disclose this when you book the appointment. I actually tried to cancel it Wednesday cause my child was already sick and was told my appointment was Friday to call back if I couldn’t keep it was not told anything about 24 hours then or a no show fee either. So I will be taking my animal up there to her appointment because I’m not paying $100 dollar cancelation fee!
Other than this the vet and staff are amazing but just wish I was made aware of the 24 hour notice when I booked or when I called Wednesday as I have never used them before today.
