In June 2025, we were visiting National Parks in Washington, Oregon, and Northern California. As usual in our travels, we stopped at a Walmart, in this case in Spanaway, Washington. Because it is Walmart, we already knew what to expect in a unknown and faraway location. We bought some grocery items that we enjoy eating at favorable prices. We enjoyed this delicious food and continued to enjoy our National Parks journey. We are not from Washington State, and this was our first time seeing brown paper bags at a Walmart checkout, instead of the plastic shopping bags. We made the necessary adjustments on our end, and the brown paper bags met our needs. Walmart is a great place to shop for the products that I want to buy at favorable prices, and it is one of my all-time favorite retailers.

Used scan & go they only had 1 register open for it mid day on weekend not a good idea!! I mean isn't supposed to be a convenience thing for making this quicker than waiting in line.... Smh too complicated by far

Pharmacy staff is amazing. They always go above and beyond and make sure to communicate well. The store also seems to be better stocked than other ones in the area.

I have shopped at this Walmart for over 15 years and I am strongly thinking about not shopping here again. I usually do all my shopping here spending hundreds of dollars a month on household necessities and groceries. My sister and I often purchase 2 carts worth of things at a time. On average they have about 2 registers open with lines of 10 people or more waiting in each. Ever since they removed the plastic bags we bring our own and have to bag everything ourselves. They have now removed the extra space they had at each checkout terminal that the cashiers pushes our already rung up products onto waiting to be put into bags. The process is going to become unimaginably longer since there is no where to hold those items. I can only imagine how impatient the people waiting behind us are going to feel as it takes even longer to ring up and bag our two carts full of items!

Finding an employee who is willing to help you is almost impossible. Horrible customer service, and it starts at the top with the Store Manager - Director.

Safety in parking lot is a concern, also lots of items with no prices and they took out the price scanners so you can't check the price. Not enough check stands open now with the self checkouts mostly closed still. Long line to buy our groceries

Self checkout lanes are limited, of course because of all the scum bags that steal. Was number 6 in line and the line wasn’t moving so I called for a manager who was clueless on the log-jamb backup at the few self checkout lanes. Had hopes that the clientele shopping here would be somewhat normal since it’s getting towards the boonies but many of them are right out of the Star Wars bar scene.

The layout is a bit different from other Walmart but you do get what you need for a cheap price.

It's always a super inexpensive place to shop. However, you really have to pay attention to what you buy, because, although it's,a great deal financilly most of the stuff is cheaply made in China.
