The cashier women I dealt with must be desperate for any semblance of power to behave the way they do. I hope for your sake you find that power but it’s just a cashier job so get over yourself

Go to the Circle K instead. It's literally a block away, you get free soda/food item, etc., every 6 instead of 10, the place is clean and the staff is so much nicer and more professional. I still go to Evergreen and Pines Maveriks, but if I need to stop around here, I'll skip this place. The staff at this location has really gone downhill, often ignoring customers while chatting with each other or friends that stop in, and the counters around the soda fountain and the area where they keep lids and napkins is always dirty and sticky. Then this woman, Tiffani or Tiffany I think, who recently joined the staff at this location seems to be just a petty, horrible human. Three times in a just a couple weeks I've seen (and very loudly heard) her in confrontations with customers. It's awkward and uncomfortable for everyone in the store, no thanks.

I always stop at Maverik when I can because of the good gas prices and the clean bathrooms. I was traveling eastward from the Seattle area to Idaho and stopped here. The men’s room was gross. There was urine all over the floor and urinals, garbage piled on the sink, the soap dispensers didn’t work, the hand dryers were super gross… I dried my hands on my shirt since there were no paper towel dispensers. I was shocked by the subpar experience I had here. Very out of the ordinary for Maverik. I think corporate needs to come down on these guys.

Dear Maverik Team,
I want to start by saying that I truly appreciate your gas station — it’s one of my favorites. You’ve always provided great service, and I stop by several times a week for work. This makes it even more surprising that today, for the first time, I experienced something that left me confused and unsettled.
I was standing in line holding a drink, waiting to pay. A young woman at the register (I don’t want to say her name, but I believe it started with a l “R”) was engaged in a personal conversation with another customer — clearly a friend/just a good person . I completely understand how important a bit of human connection is during a long shift, and as someone who works in customer service myself, I truly get it. So I waited patiently for about 10–15 seconds, even though she didn’t acknowledge me at all.
Finally, I gently said, “Excuse me.” She looked at me as if I were some kind of nuisance. I smiled and lifted the drink slightly to indicate I’d like to pay. She gave me a blank, almost offended look, as if I were asking her to come do my yard work for free. Then, with a tone like I was an annoying parent ruining her evening, she said, “Okay,” and rang up the drink — without ever making eye contact.
Trying to stay kind, I smiled and said, “Thank you, I just happen to be in a bit of a hurry.” She responded, “Well, we do have self-checkout.” I was a little stunned. I thanked her anyway and left.
But the situation didn’t sit right with me. I value kindness and clarity, so I came back a few minutes later to buy another drink and perhaps clear the air. I said to her, “I’m really not a confrontational person, but I just want to understand — did you truly not want to help me earlier?”
She said she was helping another customer. I replied, “No, I saw the receipt print out. The woman was already leaving, and you continued a personal conversation even though I was clearly waiting.” She asked, “So you’re saying I wasn’t doing my job?” I said, “You were having a personal chat. And you told me to use self-checkout.” She replied, “Yes, because we have one.” I was taken aback. I told her I came back to speak calmly and respectfully because this is my favorite gas station, and I didn’t want to file a complaint. She said, “Go ahead, you can leave feedback.”
So here I am.
Dear Maverik, I don’t want anyone to be punished. We’re all human. We all get tired, we all need to talk to someone now and then. But please — let’s all do our jobs when we have to. As the saying goes, there’s a time for talk and a time for work. And it’s that spirit of dedication,
hardworking and helpfulness that makes this country so great, rich and free.
Thank you again for being a wonderful store. I wish the young woman all the best, and I’m grateful she eventually did ring me up! To avoid upsetting her in the future, I’ll gladly use the self-checkout next time (progress never hurts). And let me also mention that employees like Ivan are always incredibly professional, polite, and hardworking — just like the rest of your team. That’s why this small misunderstanding stood out so much.
Wishing you all blessings, safety, and continued success. Let’s keep this great relationship going strong.
Warm regards! God bless you all.

Everytime I get off of work around 3:30pm the bonfire grill is already being cleaned up and shut down however the hours say it should be open. I just don’t understand paying an employee if they’re not doing their job. Or if the hours are actually reduced why they wouldn’t change the hours on their sign. It’s really annoying and frustrating because I just want pizza.

The employees are great. The store is clean. But every single time I try to get air in the XactAir machine in the parking lot, it’s broken. Fix that permanently and this becomes a 5 star review. 9/30/24
