I cannot give enough stars to Aamco Transmission in Spokane. As an older woman traveling by myself, I could tell my transmission was not right as I was driving over the North Cascades highway. When I arrived in Spokane, even though it was a holiday weekend, Aamco got me in right away, serviced my CVT transmission for a reasonable price and I was on my way within a couple hours. They included a Vehicle Courtesy Check on my car but did not use that to try and upsell me. The trip back home over the North Cascades was like driving another car. It ran beautifully! I am still very happy with how my car is running and the service I received at Aamco.

Got my transmission serviced and rear differential. The service was great and they were done when they said The people there were friendly and easy to talk to. I will definitely get more work done there.

They were polite with amazing customer service. took amazing care of my car with professional workmanship. I would recommend aamco on Francis to anyone in need a a great professional mechanic. Prices are good and they offer 3 different financing plans. Plus they have free coffee for there customers.

Worst decision I've ever made. They caused more problems than they fixed. I'm still finding crap that was done wrong or not at all. Paid over 2 grand to have them not do the job. Parts not connected,bolts left out, leaking parts, I could go on for days. Should have known when vehicle stranded me on the way home from shop and had to call them to pay for a tow back to shop. Should have sued them. Never Never Never go here. You'd be better off throwing your money in a hole and taking a hammer to your engine.

WORST EXPERIENCE WITH AN AUTO SHOP EVER!!! Horrible communication. Somehow I randomly got a hole in my coolant line to the tune of $3000 and my car having to sit there for over a WEEK for a part. I had never leaked ANY coolant until it came here. Funny how they tried to get me to fix a timing issue $3500 and when I said no the VERY NEXT DAY I have this horrible coolant leak that nothing can be done for until the part comes. I took my car in for an AC issue which Nelsen's quoted me $700 to fix (stupid me for not jumping on that at the time) and a master window switch. I am now being told my bill is going to be over $4000!!!!!! No communication as to how long my car would be there until my husband had to physical go into the shop and ask WTH was going on. Now I am out an additional $500 for a rental car because I have to work. RUN AS FAST AS U CAN FROM THIS PLACE.... SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!
UPDATE: Took my car to a reputable shop for a second opinion with the estimates given by AAMCO to find out I was being charged almost DOUBLE the price for parts!!! The estimate I have from the second opinion is $1500 for the coolant repair. Please tell me how I was NOT being scammed!?!?!??

Transmission replaced 8/22 . Since then I've had 3 transmissions installed in my pickup. Each time aamco has broken something else . Charged me for breaking my shifter cable , shredded the new one , has leaked and slipped I've paid over and over for gaskets , tcase work , output shaft etc . John always has a terrible excuse. This last round I had to trailer the truck with a quarter tank . I picked the truck up and it wouldn't start because they ran it out of gas. John said there is a gas stations two blocks you can walk to and no we don't have a gas can . They will burn you and scam you for any extra dollar they can get.

Couple months ago when I sent them my transmission for a tear down it was 280. No worries but when they did the diagnosis they told me I needed a complete rebuild costing 4,000 dollars, but I rebuilt it for 700. Almost all of the parts they said were ruined weren’t bad, I mean it runs fine now, they pushed me to basically get a new one though them instead of buying one myself and putting it in for way cheaper. Then when I had a family member pick up my parts in boxes they kept my torque converter for 2 weeks! My fault for not checking but when we called they said we were in their call back list and “must have slipped through or fingers”. How do you forget that or misplace it, and be rude when youre called out on it, then black list out number for trying to call you while im putting it back together and im missing parts that they took apart…. Please don’t take your vehicle or transmission there unless its changed.
