Touring downtown Spokane with my daughter who was leading a group, we walked by the store (which was unfortunately closed) but she gave the highest rating for Bruttles candy. Then at Christmas she gave each in our family a small beautifully packaged bag of the soft brittle. It was the most delicious treat ever!! I will visit Spokane again in March and you can bet I’ll be a happy customer!! Yum yum!!

I have to say this place makes the best soft peanut brittle, but the customer service is the complete opposite. Their operating hours are not consistent, and you would think during the holidays they would be warm and inviting when entering their store, however when my mom went in (who drove all the way from Kettle Falls) was told they were closing in 5 minutes and was rushed out of the store. It was 3:55pm.... who closes at 4pm??? Then upon asking what time they would open the next morning the lady said, "at 10am, or at 1pm." Ok, that's not helpful! So my mom shows up at 10am... and they are closed.... We will not be shopping here anymore.

Very nice small candy shop. Lots of gourmet candies from brittle, to the bruttle, to soft chewy taffy, chocolates, and more. Took lots of pictures to add to the site, so see for yourself. Friendly staff, young lady a bit giggly makes one feel warm inside. Prices I suppose are good for it being gourmet items. Noting that the founder Ms. "Aunt Sophia" Gerkensmeyer 1897 - 2001 lived to be a hundred and four, eating I'm sure a lot of this stuff. Perhaps candy is not that bad for you after all.Picture of the founder, can you find it?

I've lived in Seattle for the last 10+ years but grew up in Spokane through high school. People ask me what Spokane has to offer and let me tell you...this place is one of them! It is absolutely unique to Spokane and a MUST! I have dreams of their melt in your mouth peanut brittle haha especially around the holidays. I also just tried their cashew brittle for the first time and it inspired me to write this lol SO GOOD! It only makes sense that such an incredible product would have a rich, interesting history as the original makers of this soft brittle. It started in the Davenport hotel by a woman named Sophia (please don't make me try to spell her last name..forgive me!). There's a whole story and article you can read with a quick google search but essentially they became a household name in Spokane. I personally think they grew bigger than themselves and deserved their own store front. Anyway, I rarely write reviews, maybe like two in my lifetime but this place deserves acknowledgement by anyone and everyone. Go there or be square! Also note to dairy free or vegan folks, my fiancé and I went vegan a while back and I almost cried hearing its VEGAN!!! How?!? So amazed and grateful! But for those carnivore and dairy loving people, don't let that deter you...remember I grew up on this s*** and it's worth it.

Rude staff in the Valley on Sprague. I was so excited to finally get a day off and go check it out. Gave 1 star cause after being greeted rudely and didn't get to try anything else. I walked out. Will never return.

The main shop on Sprague in the Valley provides exceptional service consistently. They are service oriented, accommodating to the customer's needs, and makes you feel like your business is important. It's good to see this level of service in Spokane.

If you love brittles and toffee, you will love this place. They have a great selection of "bruttles" with different nuts, chocolate dipped or drizzled, individual pieces, or in a box. The best part? This spot is unique to Spokane so if you're trying to find something special to gift those out of state folks in your life-this would be great!
