I moved into the neighborhood thinking it would be nice to have a grocery store this close. After a year I am no longer going to shop here. Higher prices, cluttered aisles, the app has sales on items that are hard to find in store or they are out of stock on. I went to rent a rug doctor and was told Guest Services is closed so they won't rent me one. I watched them close it while I was in line with the shampoo and my dinner (rotisserie chicken - why do I feel like I 'won' something if they happen to have one in stock?) So I asked to talked to the manager who told me it closed 7 minutes ago and he would not rent me the machine (which is the main reason I was in the store). It's likely I will live in the neighborhood for maybe 10-30 years, possibly longer - but they have lost my business to Yokes, Grocery Outlet, and Rosauers - each provide better customer service, better prices, and the deli and bakery are better at Yokes and Rosauers as well. I will give up convenience for customer service, less attitude, and better prices. You don't have to go far to avoid this experience, but I advise you to do so.

Noticed all the employees in masks at the 14020 E Sprague, Spokane Valley, WA store? When I inquired it did not seem voluntary for employees, why are you forcing them to mask? Was this a corporate decision or isolated management at Spokane Valley store? It is very disturbing to see employees with dead eyes and the absence of smiling faces at this location. I will be shopping elsewhere until I can see faces again.

Terrible customer service. Cashiers don't pay attention to you when you check out, they have an attitude when you ask questions. They seem to get annoyed when there is more than one person in their line. Not helpful and not kind. Don't be in a customer service industry if you don't like helping people.

Normal Safeway, good selection of products, weekly ad has some good deals, self checkout is speedy as usual.

I do like shopping at Safeway, but the one thing that disgust me is the products from Signature!! The meat alone is Horrible!! It looks like it's already gone bad, it smells horrible and the taste is horrible. They Really need to get rid of All the Signature brand. My bacon was half rotten when I got up this next morning. It didn't taste good, don't looked worse than the day before. Don't buy any Signature food products. Yuck

Went to Safeway today to think of something for lunch and ended up in the deli.. thought, well I could have fried chicken and Jo jo's but that's when I saw the deal of the day! 9.98 for Chow Mein, Rice, Choice of two sides, and a couple spring rolls... so picked up some chow mein which was decent probably not my favorite got some steamed rice which wasn't the best it fell apart easy and some were still kinda crunchy and I chose orange chicken and general Tsao and honestly it was bad... I did get a belly full.. the spring roll was really good too! Not a bad choice, not sure if I'd go back right away but the price wasn't bad either..

I went shopping at my local Safeway (Sprague and Evergreen) and saw A LOT of customers without masks. I talked to the customer service rep expressing my concern, she flat out refused to enforce the Govenor ordered mandate and walked away before I could ask any further questions. Safeway is less than a quarter mile from a retirement facility and caters to the geriatric community.

I choose to go little further to shop at Safeway, the staff are friendly they always help a person when you need it, this store is always clean, the owners are always upgrading the inside and outside. This location has the best bakery and Coffee shop inside which is the best drinking coffee while shopping lol

So safeway apparently doesn't bag groceries anymore, but didn't lower their prices or tell the public? Today my check in Spokane valley "Cyndra" threw all my groceries to the end of the counter with them landing on top of each other and rolling over the eggs repeatedly as fast as she could while I was checking out. Then she stocked to the end of the counter and started throwing them into my bags in no particular order. I asked her if Safeway no longer bagged groceries anymore and she said "well I'm just used to people bagging their own". I have no problem bagging my own at self check out, but if I'm going to buy several bags worth of groceries, at the regular check out, you better tell me ahead of time and also go slower. No chance I could have kept up with her to keep my groceries safe. If you want to be a winco lower your prices. Also, this was one of the rudest checkers I've ever encountered. I will be going to any place else now. Yokes, Fred Meyer even Walmart has better service. I'll be advertising your lack of bagging assistance as well, since you can't do it yourself.
