I brought my car in to have winter tires installed today and was told by the service gal that my spring/summer tires were “over 10 years old” and that the shop would refuse to reinstall them in the spring even though the tread is still in good condition.
This immediately raised concerns, as my vehicle is a 2019, and after checking the tire sidewalls myself, the DOT code clearly shows the tires were manufactured in 2022, not 10+ years ago.
Being given incorrect information like this undermines trust, especially when it could lead a customer to believe their tires are unsafe when they are not. I understand safety policies, but accuracy matters. I hope the shop reviews how tire age is being verified and ensures staff are providing correct information before making blanket refusals.

I was just in a few days ago after purchasing four new all season radials.
$$$$ First, I would like to mention that I am disabled, as this is part of why I was so unhappy with the whole situation. It has been a few years, since I have purchased tires at costco and the last time I was there on East Sprague the set up was very different and much easier to navigate. This time, when I pull up to the building there was no signage as to where to enter the tire dept. Nothing to tell you where to park or enter. It was pouring rain and I had to walk a long ways from where they wanted you to park for the tires. You now have to go clear inside by the food court to turn your keys in. I had to wait in line for 20 minutes to be waited on even though I had an appt. Then I was told that it would be over an hour before my car was done and that would text me, when the car was ready. They don't tell you were to go to get your keys when it is done....another 15 minute jack around and then I had to stand in the pouring rain again with a heavy package while I waited for someone to open the bay doors to give me my keys. When I asked where my car was, the young man said he didn't know...somewhere out in the vast jammed packed parking lot. It took me another 15-20 minutes in the rain to find my car! I was completely soaked. The least they could have done was not parked a car with disabled plates in the middle of no where. I chose Costco because I thought it was be the easiest place to get my tires done. I was sure wrong about that. They don't even have a waiting room any more. On my way home my tire alert light came on my dash. I could not go back, so now I will have to take it in somewhere and find out why the light is on, either they messed up my sensors or the tire pressure is uneven. I was completely disgusted.

They changed their policy and no longer install new tires purchased somewhere else. I was not notified of this change until after I dropped my car off. Costco Tire’s quality of service has gone downhill since I’ve used them in the past.

The worst. EVERY time I come here is a problem the past couple years. I don’t care if I have bought tires here, I will now pay to go have them seasonally switched out at Les Schwab!!!

A couple years ago, my wife needed to swap snow to summer tires. The snows were purchased at that Costco. We picked up the car and the TPMS light was on. It wasn't on before. Costco gave us a fantastic run around trying to diagnose the issue, suggesting we go to another Costco location to see if it was an issue with their computer and not our tires. One of the valves is rubber, while the other three are the metal for the TPMS. It's obvious.
After spending an hour looking at it, they agreed that they failed to replace the TPMS valve core on one of the tires, they said they would call and set up an appointment to replace it when they got them back in stock. Well they never did. We wasted hours. On this issue.
Just go somewhere else. Why take your chances on them making a costly mistake, wasting your time, and failing to fix it?

THEY ARE NOT PROPERLY TOOLED TO SWAP TIRES!!!
Purchased tires online. Scheduled an appointment. All was going well, but wait...they don't have standard drivers for tamper resistant lug nuts...the recommendation as they hold our tires was to go to another tire store or a mechanic to have them remove the lug nuts so I could them bring the car back for the tires to be swapped. They kept the tires I purchased there..so here's what I have to do...
1) wasted trip to Costco
2) we now have to do errands for their services
3) we have to schedule ANOTHER trip to Costco for tire install.
So much for convenience. Just avoid the hassle go just about anywhere else, discount tire, perfect tire, Firestone, I'm sure they're all better. The savings from the tires isn't worth wasting 3-4 hours I'm going to have to spend to resolve this over a $20 tool they don't have.

Took me a week to get tires , they never pick up the phone and told me the tires were out of stock three different times. No communication between staff And no answers.

Absolute joke of an experience here, I arrived early to my appointment and tried to check into the tire installation area outside but they told me to go inside through the exit and check in, well the exit lady rudely refused to let me in the exit and instead forced me to go in the entry side and walk around half the store to go to the inside tire center desk. So now I'm no longer early, merely on time, so I make my way to the tire center and now they won't let me check in until the entire huge line of people that were just looking at possible tires they wanted to buy, instead of just checking me in since I already set up the appointment online. Thereby forcing me to be late while standing in line for 20+ minutes to finally be able to check in, a 30 second process. I will never buy tires again from here, not worth saving like 10 bucks to be treated like trash and have them act like they have no clue about how to check people in that already have appointments scheduled.
In summary they were rude, wildly inefficient and it's no surprise they have a low star rating. Save the couple bucks and go somewhere that respects your time and previously scheduled appointments.

Costco Tire Center do not respect your time. They're too busy to care about you, and they do not try to be helpful. I understand that they have great deals on tires, and their installation is free, but it is free for a reason. Pay more and take your business somewhere else. Good luck.

I came to fix my issue. I had tire flat. I've been waiting for 4 hours and nothing. I had to gave back my key and leave this place. So sad

Shop at tire rama costco has horrible customer service and they do not prioritize customers that they wronged at all. I'll save you the details, but my four problems with costco are that they absolutely refuse to put on oversized tire, scared up my lug nuts, and mounted my tires wrong, they made me wait all day while they serviced other people's vehicles before they serviced mine. I bought tires through costco and they mounted them incorrectly and caused stem and bead leaks in 3 of the 4 tires. I was in there shop nine days after they mounted them, I was the first person in there when they opened. They did not service my tires until they had serviced all other customers, I dropped them off at 10 in the morning and they were not done until 7 in the evening. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Spend the extra 200 dollars and go through tire rama, I have had better customer service with them servicing tires I didn't buy through them and they did it for me for free because my parents are regular customers.

I'm sure they do great work on most cars, but I would have liked to have known that they don't seem to like mounting tires to aftermarket wheels. Since they will NOT answer their phone, I drove out and made an appointment 2 weeks out to get my winter tires swapped out, and showed up on time they day of my appointment. I waited about an hour for the car to be serviced, and when it finally went on the lift, I was immediately told my tires "rubbed" (they don't), was shown a wear line (literally just a mark on the tire) and, when I asked if they could just do it anyway since I had already paid and waited, I was told that they "aren't mechanics" (clearly). Not my favorite way to spend an evening.
