Not happy with meat quality. I taste more metal in the meat as if it was ground and cut with rusty parts. I had better meat at Safeway or Winco never buying again. You have to use plastic wrap between the meat and freezer paper so the meat was probably to old as far as I can see they need shut down.

This place is an office from the 50s. Idk if they sell meat but there is nothing on display, a lady so old she could barely walk wasn't able to show me any meat or packages or any display. How does this place stay in business ?

Im baffled this place has so many good reviews. Tried em once and disappointed. Years later googling a butcher to stock up I read many great reviews and thought maybe my past experience was just a fluke . They are on my drive home so convenience made giving them another shot easy. Anybody actually buy a meat box? Some cuts were legitimately 90% bone and fat. I get the flavor of fat yadda yadda but some of us know meat better than that. Just feels like the butcher taking more than the hanger steak home. Couldnt eat most of the weight we bought...and now still hungry after a package large enough to use as a pillow and only sharing with one skinny light eating wife Im feeling like we bought scraps and I just couldn't help but post. The employees (Id guess owners?) were great. Nothing negative I would ever say on a personal level here. The little old lady was delightful and I was very impressed at the fact she loved her job so much that she is still working at what seems possibly into her 90s. The guy helped us out with meat and we chatted awhile, he was very personable and we talked about how finding employees that knew his craft was so hard. I wanted to like this place.... but come on, only my dog coulda made it thru that box of meat without the feeling of being sold a fake Rolex. Meat boxes were already frozen and ready to roll out, that should have been my first clue. Maybe they are great for processing thier clients meat from hunting or ranches, or have great facilities and people. But as just a basic dude with no life long reason to return and only trying to get a great meal on the table, I dont get it. Its taken 8-9 months to eat this box because we pretty much figured each meal would suck and it keeps getting left in the freezer for other things we have in there. This is the crown on Northwest blvd? Or is there somewhere else with same name lol? Hope i aint posting wrong business because this just doesnt make sense.....

Crown foods is awesome, and a great family business. My order for a side is about 7 months. All rhses people complaining about wait time is wrong. Since Covid tno one want to work on the farms which slow things down. The meat is tender and taste is outstanding compared to store bought. Unfortunately, when you pick up your meat, you almost need to submit your next order.

Put a deposit down on a side of beef because they made it sound like they have the beef but due to people in front of me it will be 8 weeks. Kind of long but I understand the lines. I called at 8 weeks and was told 3 more weeks. Not happy but I suppose it's to be expected with guessing on time. Called at 11 weeks and told at least 4 more weeks. I am really not happy now because what's next... 5 more weeks? This went from 8 weeks to at least 15 weeks. Double the estimate. And due to being 12 weeks into this I am kind of stuck because any other place I will be so far behind that it might be 6 months to a year. Love how they offer refund like they are doing it to be nice. They don't have any option but give a refund if someone asks for it since they have not come close to their promise. I understand Covid caused some issues but they said they had the meat. They didn't say anything about snags at slaughter. The second estimate should have been thought out better. Now I have a third estimate and who knows if it is a good one. I doubt they will do anything for their original estimate being doubled to make it up to the people who have no options other than just waiting. So if you don't have an order already look someplace else. This meat better be good and not tough.
