There is no hotel in the State more elegant than the historic Davenport. The lobby, the amenities, the architectural details, the friendly staff, and most importantly, the luxurious, gracious, beautiful rooms make for a wonderful experience. They've restored this grande dame hotel beautifully. The bathrooms are gorgeous- lovely soaking tub, walk-in shower, and L'Occitane shampoo and lotion. This is my favorite place to stay when I visit Spokane. Take home some of their homemade peanut brittle!

The Historic Davenport was and remains a staple of Downtown Spokane. The staff is lovely and accommodating and the Peacock Lounge is so beautiful, fun and well staffed. Mid-Covid observation: They have not committed to daily house keeping services so if you have issues or requests after hours, forget about it. The hot water on floor 7 was not functional and due to lack of housekeeping and maintenance, the only solution was to walk down and get keys and a new room. Lastly and probably irrelevant to most, they removed the tastiest breakfast item. They previously served Corned-Beefed hash that was to die for. Not sure if Hash is out of season, but my God, it was so good and no longer offered. Staff is amazing There is a dude at the Peacock who sooo gets good bar service! In short: bring back support staff and corned beef hash please!!! Can't wait to come back, but hope they invest in enough resources to accommodate loyal guests. -Jim

Grand atrium with piano playing as you walk in. Very beautiful, attentive staff. Reminds me of the Peabody in Memphis, just smaller. We got in late from Seattle, and went to their little sports bar across the street which was everything you could want in a spots bar. Called it an early night, went back to my beautiful, clean room and got a good night's sleep. If you travel constantly and it's crucial you get a good night's sleep, stay here. Got breakfast this morning. Great service, but overpriced: $27 for an omelette and coffee without tip. Also, the Chromecast didn't work. Still, a great experience

Really wish I could of given it a higher rating BUT my husband and I were really disappointed when we purchased the champagne breakfast package which included valet...only to see we were charged for valet on our checkout.. (I don't wanna have to babysit my bills all the time.. I wanna rely on them being accurate & true)... AND we were woken up at 2 am with a howling DOG IN THE ROOM NEXT TO US...it was unbelievable.. the hotel is more interested in being dog friendly than making the best situation for the customers who travel and pay additional fees for comfort. They reduced our bill by 10% but it no where near compensated fairly for the tiredness we felt the whole next day due to no sleep.

We spend a lot of time between Coeur d'Alene and Spokane. We love both cities for their unique attributes... This is our second stay at the Historic Davenport, both times it's been simply amazing! Easy access to fast food + five star restaurants, high end shopping, quaint and sophisticated bars...not to mention the GORGEOUS giant waterfall in the middle of the city!!! Spokane is a hugely under rated city with AMAZING features, Fantastic night life and endless activities! The Davenport hotels are excellent "home away from home" stay to place you in the middle of everything you need when visiting the "big city"!

Treated ourselves to a night of luxury on our way up to British Columbia to ski. Enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra day. Downtown Spokane is a real treasure. Great shopping, wonderful walking trails, great history. The hotel itself is beautifully restored. Its really like stepping back in time to the days of grand hotels.

The hotel is beautiful. The food is wonderful. The drinks are excellent. However, be aware if you book your room with a third-party such as Expedia, Orbitz, etc. your room is not guaranteed. They will switch your larger room to a smaller room to meet their needs. The only way to secure your room is the book directly with the hotel or through Marriott. The hotel staff was not willing to accommodate or make good on the original reservation.

We have stayed here in the past and it was wonderful! Just had a 4 night stay over Christmas and it was so disappointing! We had three adults in our room and had coffee, cups, glasses, and towels for two. Had to call every day to ask for more of these things. We never had maid service! We had our light on and they never showed up. We also waited 35 min for bellman service and they never showed up. We Ended up taking several trips to our car for our bags. The ceiling in the bathroom area was also very dirty and had stains on it. All of this is not a big deal but this hotel claims to be a "luxury hotel"! There are much better options in Spokane! Very disappointed!

I rarely rate anything 5 stars, but have to for the Davenport. We found no downsides to this hotel. Here's what we liked: Quiet heating system (not one of those noisy, in-room systems that sounds like you're sleeping in a wind tunnel) Good bar Great lobby Great location in the middle of downtown Comfortable bed Reasonably priced (less than the Fairfield in Moses Lake with AAA discount) Helpful, kind staff Nice room extras (robes, etc). These things are a matter of taste, of course, but this is just the sort of hotel we like: well appointed, well located, good on-site services for food and bar (even a Starbucks!) with the individuality you don't get in a chain hotel. Going to Spokane? Check it out, from our experience you can't go wrong.

Gorgeous, 1950s, (think hardwood mansion) decor excels during winter holidays. Every meal was fantastic, served on fine China with silver, fine linen napkins, etc. (Even breakfast) Housekeeping so good that I tipped at end of stay. Beds comfy, but stand taller (4 post style), so consider if you have trouble climbing into bed (versus falling into bed LOL). Rooms very quiet. Elevators small (4-5 person) require hotel key for all sleeping floors (not just elite floors). Well appointed bath with full tub (big guys like me will love it) and large shower. Great water pressure at rainfall shower head. 5-star hotel staff service, always a door man and desk clerk available. Well located downtown with fee shuttle and plenty of Uber 24/7. I will definitely choose this hotel for my next business trip.

This is probably my favorite hotel anywhere. So rich with local history and fully restored to its original grandeur. I could sit for hours in the lobby alone just looking at the beautiful architecture. My favorite time to visit is at Christmas with the lobby and Mezzanine all decked out. However, you can enjoy this historic hotel any time of year. For a drink, dinner, overnight, or a brief stroll. If you are a history buff, check out Tony Bamonte's book: 'Spokane's Legendary Davenport Hotel'. It's a great read about this magical hotel. Enjoy!
