I like coming to this financial institution because of the way they make their customers and clients feel when they have to do any type of business with Global Credit Union. The staff has such friendly smiles and it gives you the warmth of entering a down-home feeling that you would get visiting friends that you have not seen in a while. KUDOS to all of the management and staffers at Global Credit Union!

I have been a Global member for over 25 years and had a great experience as a member prior to the merger with Alaska FCU. Unfortunately, they took away most of the benefits that made it a great bank. They provided an opportunity to vote on the merger but didn't provide details as to what benefits would change at the time of the vote. It appears it is time to move on to another organization.

I work in banking and have banked at Global CU for 20+ years and LOVED them! The new online banking is a joke. You are too big of a company to have a website/app that is reminiscent of Ask Jeeves. Why do debit and ACH purchases take so long to process and don't even show as pending? I know that the Global employees have suffered as well. The financial institution I work at has managed many mergers much better than Alaska. How to do alienate both existing AK members and new merger member simultaneously? They think that they know what they're doing since they are so big in Alaska but the lower 48 would like you to go home now.

I used to love Global Credit Union the customer service was on point and when you call the longest wait is 5 mins it akways feel they care and more personable. Since they merged with Alaska Credit Union they let you wait for more than 30 mins when you call it is just like any other big banks our there, NOT a good start of customer service for your clients.

Great service everytime I go here! I have friends and family who bank here, and they love it! Global staff is super friendly and even if they don't provide a product, they'll do their best to help you! Definitely recommend if you want a credit union that makes you feel like family!

For this new "conversion" I give 1 start specifically for this terrible process. The new support contact numbers don't work, I've tried multiple times over the last hour to call the 3 different numbers they provide, and I continuously get a busy signal or the call won't go through. I've tried both my cell phone and office line with no luck. I've tried 4 times to "Live Chat" with someone just for no one to respond. Sat on that for an hour before giving up. This has been a terrible experience and poor conversion. Stating that I'm frustrated is an understatement.

Hey just wanted to let everyone know dont bother coming to this bank at 4:30pm and on because my husband and i came and they already locked their doors. Terrible to not keep to the hours.

Sarah, at the Argonne/Montgomery location, was very helpful. I was opening a new account today, for my rental properties, and her customer service, and her explaining things were great!! I definitely recommend this location. She has helped me with shared branching in the past, and is always very helpful and courteous. I chose this credit union/and location because of how helpful the staff is here. Thank you Seth M

Unhelpful. I've been into a branch 3 separate times, and all of them were poor experiences. First time, I went in for change, yet was informed, "we can only give change to members". Second time, I tagged along with a friend (who was a member) who had an ok experience, yet I was asked to step back and "give the member some room". Third time, I went in to have a wire transfer, yet I was denied; "we only do wire transfers for members." Considering how they treat both members and non-members, I won't be visiting Global CU if I can help it, even if they were the only open building in a lightning storm. I'm sure even then I would be informed, "Safety from lightning strikes is only for our members."Find another bank of possible. Numerica Credit Union, for instance, is an excellent alternative.
