Dr. Scott Habegger, Inland Equine Veterinary Service, came to our home to check on our Tennessee Walker within a day of our calling him with concerns about her coughing. We knew she was not in a critical state or he would have made the time to come by sooner. We like the fact that he was willing to work with us based on our factual assessment of our horses needs. Very kind, very thorough, patient and reasonable rates. We plan that he will be our vet until our horses are gone. They’re in their mid 20s now.

I've owned and been around horses for more than 20+ years, and honestly Scott was hands down was thee best vet I've ever used. I have a historically flighty 3 year old with little to no vet history. He was incredibly gentle and kind with her. And honestly I've never seen a vet so carefully poke a horse, he gave her pets and tons of reassurance and she didn't even flinch. I'm pretty sure she lucked out and had a good vet almost similar to going to the dr's for vaccines and you know how there are some who are so good you hardly feel a poke and then there are other that well, JUST HURT. I think Scott is one of the good ones for horses. Scott also did a dental on her, he was very safety oriented "for horse AND owner", nor was he an extremist, he's a cautionary vet, he doesn't push unnecessary services or extras. He's a welfare first vet. This guy is experienced and knows his stuff. But more importantly patient and kind with the horses which means the world to me. I want to make sure my horses become 100% comfortable with vets, as someday there will come a time when they need assistance in leaving this world, and I want nothing but peace for my horses, and in achieving this grace all encounters with a vet is as positive as can be. Its been proven that horses remember faces for a lifetime. When choosing a vet, choose one that treats you and your horses well, because you never know when you have to say good bye. Hands down I would choose Scott as my ride or die vet.

You just couldn't ask for better. You can trust that your animals matter and will be cared for to the very best possible outcome.

I count on Scott's knowledge, skill, and empathy when my horses need care. We have been through it all together from birth through death and everything in between. He talks through diagnosis and options in a way I can understand without talking down to me. My farrier, Tracy Just, says he's the best in the business for lameness issues.

Scott has been our equine Vet for years. He is the best for lameness issues in my opinion. He is thorough, thoughtful, and always willing to teach. He has the horses best interest at heart and his love for them shows. Through the years he has literally saved the lives of three of our horses. His compassion is unequalled. Scott will always be our vet. Thank you Scott for always taking such amazing care of our equine family members.

Dr. Habegger has been my equine vet for a number of years, and is one of the best I've ever worked with. He is responsive to phone calls & messages (and he returns calls promptly, even if he has his hands full at the moment I call). I really appreciate his calm & gentle manner with my animals, and his compassion with people. He doesn't hesitate to explain what he is doing, or discuss a range of treatment options. An excellent vet - highly recommended!

Scott has been our main equine vet for many years now, through good and bad. The thing I appreciate the most about him is his willingness to discuss different treatment options. He is not "my way or the highway" like some vets.? And he is always willing to provide answers to my sometimes unending questions. I always come away just a little bit smarter.

After reading some of these reviews I was skeptical, but gave him a shot, I'm glad I did. Scott is not only a great Vet, he is a great teacher. We had a horse with a severe cut, and he not only guided me over the phone but also was hands on with me. Great at communication, and he has more of a human side than your typical short worded high priced contact I've become used to. Called when they were closed, he called me first thing is the morning as soon as he opened up. Glad I gave him a chance, he will definitely be my first call, and he should be yours too.

My issue was not pressing and was simply inquiring about services and setting up an exam for a new horse I recently purchased. I called and left 3 voicemails over the course of two weeks and never received a phone back. I was patient, however, extremely disappointed I received never got a call back. It has now been close to 3 weeks.

Lacked the professionalism to even return a phone call.
