Thieves. Rude. Always ask for your itemized receipt from the cash register along with the debt card receipt. Look for different sets of numbers.

What a wild ride a simple trip to JB's turned into. Today, 5/6/24 at exactly 2:41 pm, I called ahead to ask if they had Southern Comfort in the pint size. Only 50% of stores that sell behind the counter liquor seem to carry pint-size items. The fellow answering the phone answered (im assuming while speaking over my question) my question before i finished that I didn't hear what he said so I waited for him to realize that he talked over me and I wouldn't have been able to hear what he said. I let a few seconds go by and then he barked real loudly "Yes! We have the pint!." So I said "Okay, thank you".
I drive over to the store within 10 minutes of that phone call and I asked for the pint of Southern Comfort and three men are behind the counter not knowing what I'm asking for and I say that was me that just called less than 10 minutes ago.. and there's more fusion and, kind of whispering, and the guy who's older that I've never seen work there before, maybe 65 years old or so, with the challenged skin condition ~ tosses a case of 12 or 18 single shots of Southern Comfort on the counter and knowing that those single shots are packed together like that at 80 proof and 100 proof I just softly said "oh no. I really don't want that type." Then the same dude, who had to be the one that answered the phone because of the personality, barked at me incredulously (as though we've been in a bartering war for 10 minutes and I'm driving him crazy or something) "These are 99 cents each!!!" So at this point, with this kind of thrust behind pressure sales I realize a few things . Not least of which he knows the difference between the percentage of alcohol. So I calmly cut to the chase and I asked him "What is the point of my calling to ask if something is available if you didn't care anything about my request?" I left there thinking ~ him of all people thinks he's entitled to waste a patron's time and shove a bunch of verbal abuse down their throat. I haven't had such negligence and verbal abuse from a counter clerk in probably 10 years. That was so bizarre.

Great selection but make sure to check the bottom of beer cans and bottles for expiration, bottled, or canned dates. These guys don’t cycle over inventory and you can very easily end up buying 6-12 month old beer at retail prices.

If the smell of incense/college/nag champa makes your head hurt, like it does for me, do not enter! Otherwise, great selection, however some btls of wine are 3x the price of Trader Joes. Just sayin'.

Hidden gem. Huge unique beer selection. They often have whiskies that are sold out elsewhere. My 1 qualm is that they rarely, if ever, have any specials running in the whisky aisle...

Great bottle shop with a huge variety of beer & cider. AND... hard liquor. Not sure if they have a special agreement with Sky vodka but there's always some at special prices. They are very nice and friendly. My husband appreciates getting to taste from their drafts. In a condiment cup. Perfect, it's all you need.
