Nice people but horrible selection of fabrics for anything but quilting. I couldn't find a single cotton knit (T-shirt fabric) for my summer PJ project. Nearly everything was woven quilting fabrics or fleece, and way too much polyester. I am quite bummed because I don't know where to get what I need, nor anyone else wanting clothes that actually fit and function. They seemed receptive to my complaint, so here is hoping they improve.

TLDR: this location is amazing! It's ACTUALLY a craft store (as opposed to just decoration, hand soap, and maybe a tiny bit of fabric and yarn). So I've been to 6 different Joann in Oregon and not one of them comes even close to being as good as this one. I'm seriously wondering if it's just this location, or if OR Joann is just not as good.

My wife shops here quite frequently and the discounts make it a favorable craft store for her. My daughter recently discovered string bracelets and we’ve purchased supplies here for her as well. The customer service is always friendly and if we haven’t found in the store we can order online and it arrives quickly. My hobby is music and I’ve found affordable crates for my vinyl and cassettes here. What’s not to like? Great crafts store!

Go in for one thing and come out with two bags full haha. I love this store so much. Anything crafty or artsy you need, they got. Usually have great deals as well

I would not recommend bringing a sewing machine here for repair. They had mine for three weeks only to tell me they cannot find parts for it, they told me I could come pick it up and there would not be a charge then when I arrived it was a $40 bill. Also lost the part that was broken so now I cannot attempt to repair it myself. Very dissatisfied with service.

I love how clean and organized it is. Great products. Friendly staff. Sheryle was a good resource when learning about the machines they sell.

I have been a lifetime seamstress (many decades) and have purchased fabric, etc from many fabric stores in Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Utah. Joann's has been the last remaining "major" fabric store in Spokane for quite some time so that is where I go (north, on Francis). The selection is amazing, the staff is friendly and I always find what I need/want. I have one complaint, and for me, it is very important: The cleanliness of the store. The floors and under the racks, etc appear to not have had attention for a long time. The one remaining restroom (unisex) is filthy. It reminds me of a few convenience store restroom I've encountered. The fact that it now has a code to enter tells me there has been trouble. I understand that and do not have a problem with that. But customers should be assured of a clean restroom in a fabric store. The lack of cleanliness in these areas puts a sour note on an otherwise pleasant experience.

My wife and I came to explore sewing machine options at their Viking Sewing Gallery (a business within Joann's). The salesperson was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. All our questions were answered and we ultimately ordered a sewing machine. This purchase was a dream of my wife's but by the end of the pitch, I started to think that I might enjoy making things on the machine myself. As an aside, once we were in the store, we browsed the rest of the store and purchased some things. I normally like to browse before I purchase anything but this was especially interesting.

I visited with several of my granddaughter's beloved stuffed animals torn apart by her dogs. The clerk at the fabric table came right out and helped me select the best materials and gave me helpful advice on how to proceed. I was so unsure of this project but she really acted like this was doable. Came out great!! I know I couldn't have done it without her help or the confidence she imparted to me!

Store is a mess, customer service lacks. Items we had picked were clearly marked at a discount, but yet when we got to the front, she said is was price as marked. I wanted to add my info, she said she couldn’t do it and I had to go online. It was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I will NEVER go back there. Hobby Lobby will have my business and they are helpful and polite.

Can a I say, a solid 3.5 stars?Where they earn a star, they have something else loosing a star, but, at the end...Crazy amount of stuff here for sewing, knitting, crocheting (like 6 rows of yarns!), beading, Christmas decorating and even snacking. Not set up very good. Layout needs a lot of work. "But..." it is a 1 stop shop for people who crave being handy, dandy or crafty. So, there's that...Then, there's the lack of cashiers for increased amount of people popping in at lunch hour. So, wasted even more time having to stand in line through my lunch. But, like I said... "so much stuff here."With so much variety, its hard to believe they didnt carry the yarn product I went in looking for. At least I found something acceptable that I can work with.

Great place for your last minute craft ideas and great selection of sewing machines I enjoy this place because it's close to places that have food
