I have mixed opinions so I’ll write out my experience and you can decide. The experience started off great I set up a date to drop off my car but there ended up being insurance issues so I unfortunately had to cancel the appointment same day staff was super nice and understanding and we ended up rescheduling a drop off date a little later out on 11/20 by 11/30 I still hadn’t heard anything so I gave them a call and they let me know due to the GM strike it’s been a little hard to find parts and to call back on Wednesday next week. Okay no worries I completely understood it was out of their hands. So Wednesday 12/6 I called back and they seemed annoyed I was calling for an update giving me the same information and to wait for their call instead. Okay totally understandable with the GM strike but don’t be annoyed when y’all told me to call in this day. Anyways that Friday rolls around 12/8 and I get a call stating they have all but 1 part but since it’s cosmetic and they have no ETA on when they will receive the part they offered to complete everything else let me pick up my car and they will let me know once they get it then I’ll just drop off my car again. Okay awesome let’s do that and the person has informed me all they need to do is put on the mirror and I should hear from them on Monday to come get it awesome great. Monday rolls around no call so Tuesday the 12th I call them to see what was going on and it turns out they hadn’t even started the repairs but should be done today or tomorrow and to call back tomorrow for a update. I called back tomorrow 12/13 same answer. Called back Thursday the 14th told me Friday the 15th it would be done. Called back Friday they told me the new window is wrong but they might have a replacement they could get in today. Awesome great let me know. Anyway Friday afternoon they called me up and said they completed everything including that part they couldn’t get a ETA on so I went to pick up my car. When I arrive it turns out they didn’t even reach out to my insurance and was trying to make me pay a huge fee before they would give it to me thankfully the manager told them to give it to me with only paying my deductible and they also informed me that the tint on my window is illegal so the new window doesn’t have tint i have never tinted my windows and bought it from a trusted dealership (keep this in mind). Mind you it’s almost 5 by the time I arrive in winter it’s pitch black out and on the way home the auto body shop left my back driver side lights unplugged didn’t notice until I get home which I could have received a ticket for. The next day Saturday I realize they had done more damage (see photos attached) I called the place up on Monday as soon as I could to inform them and the dude kept saying I don’t want to argue but that couldn’t be from us so I ended up emailing him photos of what my car looked like before I dropped it off vs now and kept saying no way it was them but drop of you car and we will see. When I went to drop off my car again I brought a guy with me just in case and it was a complete 180 yeah we will fix it no worries ect ect ect. Anyways Friday they call me up and completely fixed everything and added that window tint that was apparently illegal not even a week before.

Upon showing up with a damaged vehicle, Mark and I had talked and discussed damages and options for fixing while he did a walk around so i could show him everything that was going on. Based off of his answers, and his verbal prices for things, I had asked for a few additional unrelated things to be taken care of as well. I tried waiting around for the estimate, There were some issues when he was trying to draft the estimate, and this led to me having to leave prior to having it in hand. (Lesson Learned)However, upon going to pick up the vehicle, it fell exceedingly short of the promises made. From damage not being fixed that was pointed out and discussed, to parts of the vehicle not being put back to how they were. And then finding out they had left painting supplies in the vehicle that caused the vehicle to smell horrible, as well as parts for the vehicle laying in the passenger seat and damage to the passenger door panel and wires somehow being stepped on or pulled on causing them to dangle and have excess wire when it had been professionally installed prior to route and hide them properly. Some of these things were less then 5 minute jobs had they done it when they were supposed to upon reassembly of the vehicle after the paint job. The other issues I was just in shock at how it was returned. Unfortunately I don't make it a habit of taking pictures of the inside of a vehicle, especially when I don't think a reputable shop would damage things.I am used to seeing a vehicle being pulled into the shop where it is lit so that way they can show what work they had done and make sure everyone was on the same page. This did not happen. His responses when questioned about these things was he could fix it, and do the work but he would have to charge additional in order to do so.This was extremely disappointing especially after prior conversations.I understand that for 1 thing I requested, it was out-sourced and the third party could not perform the work.Yet there were other items that we had discussed that just seemed to have been forgotten. In addition, the prices didn't add up. Posted in their shop, they quote several levels of paint jobs, from base enamel to coats, etc.Based off the paint job I was told I had. The price I was charged was several hundred dollars excess compared to the price posted on a sign in their office.I could understand the difference if it was a larger vehicle. As paint supplies vary and sometimes they need a bit more to cover certain areas or whatever else. But as the charge was listed on the bill, there was no explanation for why the price exceeded the posted price. I mean a beetle is pretty tiny vehicle. Even with this paint charge, they didn't finish painting the vehicle as there are still exterior areas that have clearly not been painted.Find someone else.Even employees had mentioned how there have been more and more issues as of late as Mark has been forgetting things that he had promised to customers that were not being taken care of or done to the expectations he himself had set.Be warned by this. But also take it with a grain of salt. This is only my side. They have their side, and then there is the truth. I wish you good luck but for me personally, I will never be taking my vehicles here in the future. I was very disappointed and unsatisfied with how everything turned out.The only positive things I can say is they did not charge a storage fee, the paint does look nice. Hard to tell under snow and dirt. But for what can be seen is nicely done. And they have a limited warranty on the paint that is honored by all Maaco's.Edited for Clarity.Response to their reply:I am not interested in continuing to work with this specific location. The vehicle was there for a decent amount of time, and for there to be these issues. It just isn't worth my time. I don't get paid to deal with yalls mistakes, or the time spent trying to fix them. You do have my email, you are more then welcome to email me any questions comments or concerns or to try to resolve this.

Complete car, same color. MAACO did a good job. Wanted single stage but they had some issues with previous paint and did base/clear for no extra charge. Masking was ok and some blemishes and dust/lint but I cannot complain at this price. About 10% the cost of a really nice job. Just what I wanted at the moment. If concerned about overspray, talk to them or cover the area yourself. Recommend.

Recently had Grandma’s car (Civic) repainted. The clear coat on the vehicle was gone & the paint was clearly fading underneath . Met all expectations when the vehicle was completed. The Civic looks brand new! Very happy w/ the service.

It depends on the which shop you choose they can vary very quality so do some research on the shop you want to use . Try to do some prep work yourself, so they'll spend all the time on the paint job itself. Do not change colors just refresh your color you have . That way you don't have to worry about doing the jams or any of the inside middle pieces like the underneath of the hood or truck lid

Great results repairing front Quarter panel and rear bumper damage on Toyota Sienna caused by parking lot persons who did not leave note or phone number. Excellent hard to match pearl white paint finish. Estimate of job was less than nearby competitors. Overall, very positive experience.

MAACO did a fantastic job on collision repair & paint for my 2016 Toyota 4Runner. The bodywork and paint were done perfectly. My insurance company was NOT easy to work with, but Mark and Brandi handled that smoothly. The repair was done professionally, on-time, and within budget. Definitely "Five Stars". I'm not surprised: over the years, they have repainted two classic cars for me, a 1962 Thunderbird and a 1967 Jeepster Convertible. They did a great job for a reasonable price on both occasions. I'm glad to give a shout-out to these folks!

I had a fantastic experience with Macco Paint Shop on Francis in Spokane, WA! Mark, the wonderful individual who assisted me, provided outstanding service from start to finish. As a value painter, Macco Paint Shop exceeded my expectations. They painted my 2008 Toyota base cab in a stunning white using a single-stage polyurethane paint. I was pleasantly surprised by the remarkable results. The entire truck looks refreshed and rejuvenated, and the paint job is impeccable. The value I received for the investment of $1200 to repaint the entire truck was exceptional.I recently got the truck set up for my business, Clean PG Window Cleaning, and the transformation has been incredible. The newly painted truck represents our company with pride and professionalism.I highly recommend Macco Paint Shop to anyone seeking affordable painting services without compromising on quality. Their expertise and attention to detail are evident in their work. Thank you to Mark and the Macco Paint Shop team for exceeding my expectations and providing excellent value.Best regards,Paul GrishkoService: Painting
