Alright, buckle up for a wild ride through my adventures in thrift store purgatory. So, picture this: you stroll into the store, hopeful and ready to do some good ol' thrifting, only to be greeted by the grumpiest bunch of staff this side of the Mississippi. Seriously, their attitude game is strong – and by strong, I mean seriously lacking.I don't know if they get a kick out of being rude or if their morning coffee just never kicks in, but every time I've been there, it's the same story: rude, no customer service, and a big ol' serving of snootiness. And hey, I get it, it's a thrift store, not the Ritz-Carlton, but a smile wouldn't hurt, right?I've tried to do my bit – donating clothes, helping Dad sell his stuff – but it's like banging your head against a brick wall. And judging by the other one-star reviews, I'm not the Lone Ranger in this rodeo. So, here's the deal: unless you're into feeling like an unwanted guest at a party, steer clear. And hey, management, if you're listening: maybe it's time for a staff pep talk or a group hug or something. 'Cause right now, your ship's sailing straight into the storm of bad reviews, and nobody wants to be on that voyage.

Horrible customer service. Girls had way too much attitude and got mad when we interrupted their conversation. Too much gossip and not enough with making sure customers had everything they needed. Got mad when I put the clothes on the rack and then threw them on the table? Please don’t work in customer service if you don’t know how to be helpful or nice. ?

I haven’t visited Plato’s closet in years because in the past I struck out and I’m pushing 40 so I thought this store isn’t for me. Also I was used to being mostly ignored if I was a shopper and as a veteran of retail, I get a little picky about customer service especially as someone who used to help people find the perfect outfit for a big event.Enter Edwin, who last night made a mom with a one year old who has lost her vision of self expression with clothing feel like a million dollars. Additionally I can tell the entire team has a synergistic bond and they were laughing together while managing buys, recovering go-backs, and checking out customers at the register. It was an actual dream experience to the point where I think if management had stylists like him and incorporated a commission position into their business model they might do a lot more volume and I say so because it’s the first time I’ve dropped close to $300 at a consignment location. I normally would not have tried on 75% of the clothing he brought to me but I was so enthralled with having a new look and getting on the LuLu Lemon train to join the other cool kids and now I think I might return for the odd cupcake looking shirt I passed on!!I was able to ask fashion questions and finally break out of my athleisure mostly black and neutral vibe or generally wearing only hoodies. I feel pretty, oh so pretty. Haha.I’d also like to comment how the location on the north side has vastly improved in space and merchandising since the move from next to Burlington. It was overcrowded and stifling before, now it’s lovely. I’m so enthralled about this now I kind of want to own a Plato’s closet and open one someplace. Super cool experience, thank you one and all.

This was the worst experience at Plato’s closet I’ve had, all of the (only) female workers are constantly on phones laughing about boys and being very rude to their customers. They said it would take 5 hours so I waited in town. When it said it was ready I was relived and finally went in to them saying my clothes were “damp” ?? I told them I didn’t wash them prior to except for at least 2 weeks ago. They are rude and don’t care, they dont want to do their job especially the lady that seems to be “in charge”.

Terribly rude paid help at the front. Girl with glasses and short dark hair was just as unpleasant as her outfit. Maybe hiring people with an actual customer service background would be more preferred than off the streets.

Edwin is just what your shopping experience needs. So profession, enthusiastic, attentive. 5 star experience solely based on Edwin. Edwin was excited for me when you could tell I liked something on me. Edwin was so supportive to me during a big day for me. When I run out Izzy was very kind and was happy for me when I had a discount credit. Good job staffing this location!

So went into Plato's Closet - Spokane, WA yesterday for there clearance sale, got a bunch of clothes for a really good price, get home and figure out that they labeled the tag wrong, I understand clearance there is a final sale but when you mark the tag wrong then you should fix it, asked them to exchange them for a size I can wear since this was there mistake on tagging them wrong and they wouldn't do anything, be careful buying there and make sure the tag is what the actual size is before you buy, the best part was I was told I could try to sell them back to them by one of there employees, what a joke

**READ ME**I took multiple name brand items to this location and when i pickedmy stuff up they were extremely rude and said they "couldnt take anthing" and to "try and bring it back when they are taking more stuff"WELL-When i got home i went through my stuff and they literally STOLE more than half of my clothes which included North Face, Patagonia, Lululemon, Calvin Klein, NHL merch.. ETC.When i called to confront them and ask where all my stuff was they still were rude and said "I guess you can come in and we can pay you out for the 22!!!!) items they took"I will never be coming back they have zero customer service and ended up blaming the new girls that clearly need to be trained or fired for theft.I asked if they wouldve even called me if it was actually a mistake and they said по (:literally dont go here and just go to hut 8 and dont get stolen from!!!

Went to purchase some items. 7 employees all working front counter. And only one cashier. And standing there for over 5 minutes and not one person saying anything. I walked out. Went to the valley location and had an amazing experience. Learned my lesson on which one to shop at. As I've been here before and had the same issue. Never again.

I had the pleasure of meeting Callie today and Oh my goodness she was so Awesome! Callie was so professional, efficient, knowledgeable, charismatic and just made my experience selling and shopping so enjoyable when it’s usually not for me. I’m a 47 yr old terminal Veteran and due to several rare diseases I have memory loss as well as chronic Syncope resulting in a Traumatic Brain Injury. I also have ADHD. Callie was so patient with me and never once made me feel bad about any of it. She assisted in carrying my items in and out for me after learning that I had a Weight restriction. She was such a Shining Star today, LOVE LOVE LOVE this girl. Give her a raise and treat her right, she is the epitome of excellence and an example of what everyone in Retail/ Customer Service should strive to be. You have a real Gem there.
