We rented a van for a few hours right after New Year's of 2024. The staff person who helped us was Richard T, and he was *outstanding*. Courteous and efficient--we couldn't have asked for better service.

This rating is for the manager, Ryan, only. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. I rented a 26' truck in May and drove it to Pullman to start a move. The truck had 1/4 tank of gas when I started, so I had to fill up in Pullman. I put $216 of gas in the tank and then noticed a fuel leak. I was able to get a replacement truck in Moscow, but I had to fill up that truck too. I worked with UHaul to get reimbursed for the gas I couldn't use, sending receipts, pictures, and video, but the ultimate decision came down to the Spokane store manager, Ryan. He denied my claim because he didn't think I could have put that much gas in the truck. UHaul's site says the truck has a 60 gal tank. Gas was $4.50/gal. Do the math, Ryan. He was completely unhelpful. I had to file a claim with my credit card company instead. Good luck to any who have to deal with this moron.

DO NOT USE THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I'll update this review first thing tomorrow morning. My wife and I came here to use a Uhaul to move her stuff from Kendall Yards to Eagle Ridge, and back to the store. That's a total of 17-18MILES (because math is easy and Google maps is free smh) and we were charged for DOUBLE. The gas was also NOT at what they told us when we used the truck. I returned it with more gas than originally was in the truck in the first place. Hear me out, normally I make sure I provide photo evidence but I've moved three times in the city (I'm active duty military) and had NO issues with Uhaul. But I was told the only way to dispute what happens was to have photos instead of owning up to someone's mistake in the establishment. Piss poor. Stay away from here.

I spent more than 30 minutes waiting in line to purchase a single bundle of boxes. Meanwhile, the employees' young children were unsupervised running around the store, jumping and stomping on stacks of boxes. Another employee, upon arriving for his shift, sat behind his desk using a vape pen for 10 minutes without helping anyone. Unprofessional environment and will go to another U-Haul store next time I need their service.

Assistant Manager is extremely rude and does NOT know what she is doing. Loud and disrespectful to customers. However, the Management himself is great, he needs a new team.

I went to this place three times and had to wait in line over half an our each time. They weren't all that professional. Relatively friendly. Prices were fine. Just know that you're gonna spend some time in line waiting around.

The entirety of Uhaul is full of some of the most incompetent people working with an incompetent system but I'll share solely my experience at this location.Trying to return a wiring kit bought online we spent about an hour trying to call this location and continually were on hold so long we got rerouted to a call center (despite the location being empty when we went in). The person at the call center verified we would be able to return the part at any Uhaul location so we drove down there. We spent another 20 minutes waiting for the manager, Eric, to come in since the lady at the register didn't know how to process returns just to tell us he was unable to return it... On top of everything he immediately gave me a shitty attitude when I started explaining we were told we could return it here and got pissy when I matched his attitude back. "Well I can't email the 30 thousand people who work here our policies but I'll try and get the word out" was a fun way to say "None of us know how to do our jobs and I don't give a shit". Definitely going to avoid Uhaul entirely until they can get their act together

LIED to me!!! The distribution center in Spokane waited until the NIGHT BEFORE my move to say I couldn't have the UHaul. Apparently they won't let them out of region now and I'm moving across country to Pennsylvania This Weekend! They couldn't tell me this weeks ago when I talked to them?? It's some big secret or something because even the local people here in Richland couldn't figure out why they couldn't rent me the available equipment. Corporate LIED to me saying nothing was available. Took 5 people to finally learn why. Dishonest and horrible customer service people that were rude and unhelpful. I have an interview next week in my new city and I can't get another rental on short notice from anyone else! I have to come back at the end of the month to move my stuff out of storage now! I'm spreading the word like wildfire about this horrible experience. Just tell me in advance I can't take equipment across country and I can make other plans! Absolutely awful experience. As if moving wasn't stressful enough. Especially across country.

Wow... where do I even start. Management is terrible, Eric Nicklas , the manager, has absolutely no morals whatsoever. Not only is the customer not right, but they are wrong until proven innocent. They dinged me for multiple fees and damages that were completely unnecessary. Charged me over $400 for damage I did not do and never provided me pictures showing the condition of the truck before or after the "damage" I did. When I called to ask questions about this said damage, he said you can call and complain but I will not be giving a refund before I even had a chance to ask about the charges. Don't use these guys if possible, they will do everything they can to get every penny out of you.

Don't rent from this location. Even if you book in advance they won't have your vehicle available and you'll be stuck either getting a different model or waiting forever for one to become available. In my case, my phone app even identified the specific vehicle that I had registered for in the lot ... but the teller approached me with the keys and said it was for someone else, got in, and drove off. Then, they will also sneak or extra charges (like additional insurance that I denied TWICE during the process), that they still managed to tack onto my rental.... Normally when a company tries to scam me with extra charges like that, I stand my ground and take the time to fight and get it removed ---- but moving is exhausting and I didn't have the energy for the battle. .... I suspect they know that and prey on people. Stay away.

We have used UHaul in the Spokane Valley for hitch installation in the past with great results, so we expected the same with the Downtown Spokane location. We ordered the hitch we wanted online and arrived on time to our appointment for the install. Nothing was said when we arrived that was out of the ordinary. When we picked the vehicle up the wrong size hitch was installed. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the size we ordered was backordered so the other size was subbed without anyone telling us. The paperwork that the installer received was what they installed, so somewhere an automatic substitution happened without anyone talking to us about it. When we called the downtown location they were very nice on the phone and said they could get the correct size and replace it with no charge to us. Then after we left the car with them again for the second time they notified us that we would have to pay for the correction. These are unacceptable policies and we will not use the downtown UHaul for anything in the future. This is a poorly run establishment.

The worst in my opinion. For decades I have hired U-Haul to install hitches and hitch wiring on my vehicles. NEVER again. After my last experience they removed and lost the battery cover and a rubber hood bumper on my car. The installer took them off for wiring but never put them back on. He also gouged the body of my car trying to remove the tail light assembly. General Manager Jaime Lopez promised to either find the lost parts or replace them and fix the gouge. He did neither. After many failed attempts to call Jaime, I stopped by the Third Avenue store again. Jaime requested that I purchase the lost parts from the dealer and he would reimburse me from the receipt. He didn't. After many more failed attempts to contact Jaime Lopez I attempted to speak with Regional Manager Cassie Schaub. Cassie Schaub's gatekeeper, "Ginger" promised me call-backs twice. They never happened. In my mind U-Haul has seemingly gone down the "Great Swirly" and I will never trust them to do anything for me again.

Pulled in here this noontime expecting to only educate myself on sizes and fees of available enclosed trailers to haul to CA... Melissa Lennart caught me pulling in and ushered me to a parking spot as to not clog the entrance. She showed me an ST (tiny enclosed bubble) and a 4x8.. i being a female and not keen on the whole pulling a trailer, I chose the enclosed locking ST.. (it's so cute).. She made a call cause the computer showed it wasn't available and GOT IT DONE!!! She ordered the staff around like a mom ... Melissa does the work of 3 people!! She made it happen in less that 20 minutes!!I'm impressed.. & YOU SHOULD BE TOO!!! Come by this store ask for Melissa!! whoo-HOO!!! After stressing and donating a lot of my valuables in fear they won't fit into the ST (Sports Trailer) I phoned this midtown location. Ashley Gumtow addressed me by my name even before I gave it to her... how's that for being on top of things.. they we upgraded to a 4x8 and she went over the length & height. Ashley offered me so much trust and comfort in my long haul that my stress has gone from 10 to 2.... WOW!!! This is the best I have felt in over a month!!! Thank you Ashley Gumtow!!! I love U-Haul and esp this location!! Now I can put everything in the locking 4x8 and my cats get the entire back to roam around and not be stressed

HORRIBLE customer service. The staff is incredibly rude. I get it. They're a small, busy facility and they don't have enough parking space to juggle all the cars coming and going. But the staff handled it with incompetency and a lack of professionalism. I was outside waiting for my friend to fill out paperwork and I got harrassed by multiple employees to move my car. I asked several where I could put it and they didn't give me an answer. Meanwhile my friend is inside where the lobby is packed with people waiting to be helped. The reps seemed to be having casual conversation with ppl while there were a ton of people waiting. We kept explaining to the employees that we had reserved a storage unit as well and half the employees didn't seem to even know they HAD storage. We got so frustrated we went and found storage somewhere else. When we came back to just drop off the truck and finally be done with the place, the lot was still a clusterfuck of cars with employees not giving anyone any directions on where to go. I got asked to move my car two more times, and someone insisted I park off the lot. Even though we're just dropping the truck off. Some of the people were apologetic and some were just rude. This facility had the worst customer service of any moving truck/storage unit/mover facility ever. Go ANYWHERE else. Save yourself a load of stress.

I've been to this location several times in the past few weeks, picking up endless supplies for our move. The employees have always been very helpful, friendly, and professional. They've helped haul out heavy bundles of boxes to my truck, and one employee - Jose - was particularly helpful in helping me get huge boxes in a small rental car. We stopped in a couple of times to pick up boxes that were out of stock, it seemed to be a computer mixup, but they were back in stock right as the store employees expected.
