Riverfront Park is a one-hundred-acre public park in downtown Spokane, Washington, created 44 years ago for Expo '74. The Spokane River runs through it, containing the upper Spokane Falls, with beautiful views of the river, the falls, lush vegetation, and an amazing old bridge. It is a great area for a stroll or to sit and relax, with plenty of paths to explore that are walkable and mostly flat. There is lots of space and it is a clean, well-organized, and affordable place with so much to do. Features include the Looff Carrousel, a Sky Ride gondola, a seasonal ice skating rink, a playground, picnic areas, and clean restrooms. The city does a good job of keeping the area clean and has worked hard to make it a peaceful, enjoyable place and a gem in the middle of the historic city center.
