There was a posting from 2014, indicating the Juan Bala is a joke and doesn't deserve the MD behind his name. I TOTALLY agree! I think the Northside office has outgrown its britches. First time visiting the new location, such a waste of time. I spent 2 hours in the office, most of it in a room waiting for Dr. Bala (who was just chatting with another staff member on my way in). I was there for leg pain, he came in the room, listened to my lungs and then he said "Hmmmm, Hmmmmm, well let me see what the other doctor said about this and I will get right back to you." He never came back in the room, the nurse came in and said lets get some labs and scheduled for a MRI. They never put my name in the lab system so I wasted another 20 min waiting. I finally had to ask someone how much longer, which is when I found out they hadn't put my name in. Every time I call, I am on hold for 5 or more min. I have been waiting over a week for lab results and a call back regarding a MRI. Just found out that Dr. Bala got the results a few days ago, but has not yet reached out. He and his Star Wars decals need to find a new location.

Let me just say, when I first came to rockwood they were great! But now I realize it's only because I had great insurance.. about 3 years ago I quit the job with the great insurance and got state insurance, that's when everything went down hill. I am type 1 diabetic, so unfortunately for me I rely on insulin to keep me alive. Ever since I switched insurances, my now ex primary doctor, Dr Todd Gottschalk, has lectured me about getting insurance/better insurance. Twice he's left the room before I could tell him the reason for my visit, not to return. About 2 months ago I went in for a routine check up to get ALL of my prescriptions filled (lantus and humilog), paid for it, and after being treated like I was selling them on the street, he neglected to fill my Lantus.. I've been trying to fill it for the past 2 months with no luck. Insulin of all things!! The one thing keeping me alive... I feel incredibly sorry for whoever has to deal with this unacceptable behavior from this terrible company and doctor (which that title is a loose stretch of the actual definition) . There are not enough words in the English language to describe how upset I am with rockwood. I am a business owner, I strive to be a helping hand in the community, and I would like whoever is reading this to know that I am beyond upset. And I fully intend on spreading this review amongst all platforms that will let me. Sincerely, your ex patient.

Worst Service and Charges Ever. My wife calls in for a preventive check up with a doctor. When I get to the front desk, I am greeting by a lady who was not to nice. I go see the doctor (who i come to find out is NOT a doctor but PA) asking me questions about my diet and exercising for 10 minutes - looks in my ears, throat and eyes - sends me on my way and charges me $337.00. I talk with the lady up front - who should be fired - and said you must be mistaken b/c it was 15 minutes - so pretended not to know how much a a preventive care visit cost and ignored me. i called up the billing dept to complain and Cindy said there is nothing we can do - I told her i called to see Doctor not a PA, and he talked to me about eating right and exercising - i am 6'0 180lbs - WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY - I WOULD NEVER GO TO ROCKWOOD ON COUNTRY HOLMES BLVD AGAIN - or any of the Rockwood in the future.

After visiting Rockwood North Urgent Care multiple times with both of my children, I will never be going back. This last time put me over the top and I have filed a complaint against the doctor. Every time is the same. I reserve a spot online and get there a few mins early only to wait 2-3 additional hours once I'm there. This last time I called to confirm the doctor could see me to check bites my son got at his daycare. After speaking with multiple nurses and the front desk lady we still waited for 2 more hours. When I went back to see the doctor she would not even look at his bites. I asked her to make sure an infection wasn't starting in my 1 1/2 year old son and she would not even look at him. I have beyond had it. After multiple terrible experiences at this facility, I have reached the end of what I can handle with Rockwood. I had my primary and my childrens primary doctor with Rockwood and since this experience, I have left Rockwood completely and will never go back. Their service is a joke and you don't feel like you have been helped. It honestly feels like they barely listen to you and downplay the facts. I will go somewhere my family can be appreciated. I would not recommend this facility...ever.

this facility does NOT use a first come, first serve policy. they rate the conditions they have in the waiting room and see patients according to that ranking. people who came in after me and were seen before came with issues like chest pains, broken bones, serious allergic reactions, etc. dear people, if you're experiencing a "life threatening" condition, go to an emergency room, not a walk in clinic. I waited for 2 hours, saw no one, and had to leave before I could because people are using this like an ER. FYI, not the purpose of a walk in clinic. there's also apparently a way to schedule appointments online so if you're set on using this facility, SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FIRST!!!!!

A terrible experience! I had a tiny procedure done and it was held in a storage closet! The closet was dirty, the chair was broken, the lights were flickering, and during the procedure people were coming in and out of the closet to grab medical supplies. It was so UNPROFESSIONAL and I will NEVER go back to this place again! Scarred for life, literally!
