We used to shop there, despite the mixed. Reviews it is convenient to the people who are in that general area. Hopefully this store will not close. Maybe better managed but not shutter
The one that should be closed. Is the one on Northwest Blvd. Due to the homeless factor. And bad Reviews it had received. About the conditions and lack of inventory.

Best store ever, amazing costumer service, clean, and always welcoming!! Get your selves safeway app. I just got produce for 174 dollars with my phone number and app clipping I saved 79 dollars. !!!! No joke

on wednesday 6/11 this guy who i can only assume is a manager or assistant manager, in a green shirt, was just yelling at deli employees in front of everyone. Definitely not good for business and makes me feel very uncomfortable shopping here. I heard him calling his employees things outside of their names and he was just rude and difficult to interact with. That needs to be fixed ASAP!!!

Where flexibility and amazing customer service intersect . . .
Today, after running errands, I was hungry and had an unstoppable craving for a sandwich wrap. I thought Safeway (on 29th) made them, but they do not. The assistant deli manager, Cody C., asked what I was looking for. He apologized and said that they make breakfast wraps, but not sandwich wraps.
And, then his face lit up and he said, “Wait. I will just create one for you!” And, that is exactly what he did. He even ran over to the veggie section to grab a tomato. The sandwich wrap was delicious and really hit the spot.
But, Cody’s incredible customer service warmed my heart!
Perhaps I should have considered taking a photo of my sandwich before my first few bites? ?

It'd have less if it weren't for the exceptionally nice people here ♡ today I had sandy and john helping me as a cashier and bagger. ^^ it's an average place with alright quality items but it's what you expect from a safeway :) so no complaints! I understand lower prices come with lower quality/things that go bad faster :)

Great selection!
On a bus route. Takes foodstamps and has clearly labeled WIC items. The staff were so helpful with finding what we needed!

It's another average grocery store, "Sandy" the cashier was great & has wonderful customer service, but the OBESE female employee of yours working the "DELI Department" needs an attitude adjustment & she has a lousy one at that. All I can say is working in the deli department SUITS HER WELL!!! THATS FOR DAMN SURE.

This is legitimately the worst grocery store in Spokane. Went to go grab a prescription from the pharmacy, got it and left. Some random employee comes up to me while I’m walking out and goes “so you’re not gonna buy anything?”. I was like “no I was just at the pharmacy”, and he just kinda huffed and went “well okay”. What the hell is that? When my girlfriend called y’all’s pharmacy, the pharmacist was like “can you afford this medication, if you can’t afford it you can’t pick it up”. All my girlfriend asked was if her prescription was ready. Never coming back here, even Fred meyer Thor street is better. The bar is so incredibly low these days.

OH,MY,GAWD!!!
You guys need to start all the way over!
I went in today to grab some baked and fried chicken for dinner.
I asked the young lady how long of a wait for fresh fried,she said 8 minutes. I went and grabbed a few more items and came back to the deli,got my food and went home.
When i got home literally 3 mins later I opened the fried chicken mind you this was right out of the fryer,or broaster,what ever they use.
The chicken was completely wet with oil, not crispy just wet with the skin sagging off of it.
I dont even know what to say!!!
I will never ever use that deli for anything thing else EVER!
I took a image of the food I recieved but can't seem to post it.
Nevertheless very bad experience.
Please dont let my review influence anyone,I suggest you have your own experience, and make your own judgment.

I live very close to Safeway and shopped regularly there for 25 years. Lately return for deli, bakery, and fresh produce. However, go elsewhere where most of the time now because 1) there are not enough checkers and I hate self checkout and 2) there are never small carts. They are huge and I do not like them and I certainly do not need them! I am short and the large ones are way too largee. Just round up all the baskets in the parking lot more often!

Everytime I try to shop here they make it like a maze, carts blocking isles by the entrance and doors closed on one side so early! Very annoying
