Used to be the coolest, have had more and more software issues, security problems, and problems with staff accidentally revealing other people's confidential information to me.

Always liked STCU, however they've been hounding me for MONTHS with an auto loan pre-approval, but when I actually applied for the loan they denied me. Watch out, as they will lead you to believe one thing and carry out another.**Edit** Despite being denied for a loan and speaking to someone about their process, which is that supposedly pre-approvals come from soft pulls and actual approvals come from hard pulls, I am continually hounded about being pre-approved for more than what they denied me over! Very frustrating. Do NOT trust STCUs offers, they will deny you, even with exceptional credit and pre-approval.

Don't ever switch insurance if you have a vehicle loan through STCU. The whole process was actually pretty smooth until I switched insurance. STCU wanted proof of insurance for three weeks several months ago. I had canceled that policy and moved to a personal policy. I could not ever get the process right with STCU. The declaration documents they wanted didn't have the right information. It became so petty as they wouldn't accept the format that the documents came in. So me knowing how to use Photoshop I made the document in EVERY format they said was acceptable - so they couldn't use that excuse. Well, they still sent an email stating it was in the wrong format.I sent these documents every way that I can at various emails and platforms. The time I’ve spent calling, looking for and sending documents I could have made the astronomical $650 they are charging me for three weeks that they can't find my insurance covered. Which again none of this made any sense. This whole process has motivated me to look for another bank because I know I have covered my insurance. I did nothing wrong. This process of proving insurance has taken more time than ever should have.I feel STCU is just looking for ways to make me pay more.

Dishonest loss mitigation workers told me I had until the end of the month to make a payment on my credit card or it would be charged off, on the 20th they drained my debit and savings and applied it to the credit card, and ended my membership. They must keep a different calender. Never got a call back from their supervisor after the unintelligent worker could not answer the obvious question "is the 20th the end of the month or is the 31st?"

Have been with this bank a while now!!!! Either the costumer service went to hell or what I don't know. First of all you can't do much online banking. Including when they randomly block your card. When you call costumer service they hang up on you. You talk to them they put u on hold then hang up on you.....Then u call them back wait on phone 10 to 15 min and they hang up again. Just FYI when u try to get your self a bank account and stay loyal. That's what u get. Thank you

No competitive loan rates, and terrible customer service. Everyone I speak with seems so apathetic and bored, doing absolutely nothing to make the process smoother, whether it comes to investing or applying for a loan. And you can add on to that pure incompetence: I wrote an email, and the response I got back could have been written by a third grader, except I'm pretty sure even third graders know the difference between "too" and "to". What kind of business are you running here? What benefits would I get by using you over anyone else? None that I can see.

I love STCU. Compared to how other people get treated/charged for stuff by their banks, I genuinely feel spoiled rotten. Having a bank account doesn't cost me money. Thank you for being my bank STCU. You make me very happy, with no stress, and security with my accounts safety. Thank you.

I've had to call-in a few times over the years. The CSRs definitely go beyond just processing the transaction. I've always found them very helpful and I appreciate how they take time to explain banking-related things. Unlike the larger banks, if you have a question, they answer it to the best of their ability and do not just direct you to their ATM or website - sometimes there's just not enough time in the day or brain capacity/energy to research and learn everything you need for this technological age. I appreciate the help and the human connection.

Today, My husband and Myself went into the main branch to add my husband to my account, And Mandy that works, helped us in getting our account taken of, Yes, I was close to closing time, kind of, She asked if we had questions, at she seemed nice, towards the latter part of our visit, she’s her tone, was very rude, short, abrasive, along with an attitude, and after that, she didn’t issue my husband’s debit or personalized debit, Nothing was giving to him. I’m very upset, I felt that our trip to this particular location was a waste of time, Now we’ve to go a different branch where they actually treat their members with respect and actually get what came for.Mandy’s attitude was contemptible. Not happy at all

STCU has the best customer service! I first opened an account when I bought my first car back in 2012 and I still have them as my bank even after moving away. I never want to change banks because I feel cared for, and whenever I have an issue or questions they are always welcoming and interested in genuinely helping. I recently had an issue and they were able to help me in the kindest way. Thank you STCU!!

(ZERO STARS) I went to the Nora branch near closing to pull cash to purchase a motorcycle! Having a trailer I decided to park up front and walk up to the Drive Through ATM(Lobby was closed at this point). I was met with ATM withdrawal limits. Standing in front of the drive-through window the tellers wouldn't even make eye contact with me while helping other drive-through customers(understandable considering I am standing in the drive-through) So I decided to pull up in a vehicle to the Drive-trough(Green Light was on) and was ready to do my transaction! The lady in the window made eye contact with me and then closed the drive-through blinds... I parked and went once again to the ATM(Where I continued to be met with Withdraw limits. Being so shocked and flustered I must've left my debit card in the machine(Which the Next customer probably took because It could not be located moments later) In conclusion, I wasn't able to go buy the motorcycle and lost my debit card. I am very disappointed and will be in Tuesday to Close our accounts and take our money elsewhere. I have had many great transactions with STCU but this leaves a sour taste....

After banking with stcu for over 10 years. They have lost my business for good. If you want to be scammed and charged over 300 dollars for over draft fees. Even when you haven't been active with your account. They will charge it off and send you to collections. And not even notify you. Then when you call them. Every single person is rude on the telephone. And when I went in to dispute it. They said. I would have to pay the 319 dollars or be sent to collections. Yeah a not for profit bank my a$$ save your self a headache and go through Global credit union.

I originally opened an account with stcu to deal with my dad's estate. From day 1 I was treated with mistrust. A request for the equivalent of 1.3% cash cash back had to be checked out with an underwriter. The amount was a couple hundred dollars. The next request was well after the estate was closed and the money was gone. I requested a car loan. I was offered a first time buyer loan designed for 18 yo which restricted what and how I could use the money. The amount offered was less than the amount I had in a money market account. More recently I attempted to make a financial transaction and was transferred to a foreign country where the individual couldent understand or even say my name properly. I would not recommend stcu to ANYONE and would actually warn against using stcu if possible. The ONLY thing the branch has going for it is blocking regular transactions without reason, discrimination based on financial class, but the tellers really are the best. Nice, patient and knowledgeable. These poor people stuck in a institution ran like this is the ONLY reason I stay with stcu. The tellers at the branches make me feel good and confident in my transactions. If stcu knew what was good for them they won't screw up the only thing they have going for them.

Quick and easy, drive through or walk in. No appointment. Drive by ATM 24/7 while business doors are closed sundays.
