I've had a hard time getting a debit card linked to the correct account for 2 weeks now. The week before Christmas my husband received a fraud alert for his DC. I had him call the customer service phone number and sure enough his debit card was compromised. We have a joint account that all DC purchases come out of and several other accounts we use for other purposes. The staff at the branch added the debit card to the wrong checking account. I logged into our online banking a week later to find that one of my accounts stated zero dollars and another was being drained. I quickly realized that the CU memeber added the wrong account to the DC. We called to get this resolved and a week later we are still dealing with the same issue.

They on the average are fairly quick. Always polite and helpful. Downside close too early on Friday and Saturday Have to wait a little long to see a banker. But overall, good bank and would recommend them. ?

This is a great bank as long as you have a checking account and saving and nothing more. This bank has a real hard time with conventional/standard programs like loans and they are very challenged with business accounts. With a greater number of credit unions entering into the market, STCU needs to work on getting to the top of their game or they will lose out. STCU I’d start with fixing your business accounts and making it easier to transact.

First off, STCU is by far the best bank! I moved all the way to Cali and still continue to use STCU. I’m not one for reviews, in-fact I can’t remember ever leaving a review. But I feel like this is a good time for a first. I helped move my sweet 85 yr old grandma up from Texas last year and we wanted to find a branch as close to her as possible. She struggled with dementia and can sometimes be difficult to deal with. We chose the North Spokane branch as a home base for her and the staff has gone above and beyond to make sure we were always taken care of. Always greeted at the door with smiles. In my opinion they are all superstars but to be completely honest, one staff member outshined the rest! I hate to put a spotlight on her but Courtney more than deserves a bit of recognition. Every time we had to slowly make our trip down to the bank she was the first person to greet us and she always remembered the little details of my grandmas life. It’s people like Courtney that can make a seemingly monotonous task like going to the bank actually something enjoyable and pleasant. STCU will always be our bank but the North Spokane branch just tends to be our favorite.

Very unsatisfactory bank, I don't trust them with my money any longer. Be aware, that their online banking control app allows you to pause your card whenever you please, but even when paused, they'll allow anyone with your card information to continue to access your accounts, including the bank themselves.

They love to randomly charge you for stuff like "service fees"and "cash advance" it's crazy that I didn't catch it until now. STCU is known for charging their customers $5 randomly and it's ridiculous. I can have my credit card paid off and they charge for a fee and then I'm paying a interest rate when I haven't used...like wtf. $50 here $50 there they are hella sneaky, I suggest you check your statements when you have a lot of transactions that's when they sneak the charge in. I don't recommend them for a bank. Previously I had a loan through them and they tried to add $900 to my loan and get away with it and when I called they said oh that's not right, obviously they like to charge extra and hope they will get away with it. Pathetic bank they just take take take and not care about their customers
