Dont listen to 1 star reviews I've been with this bank for 6 years and they've been nothing but nice to me and my mom. I've had about 7 different debit cards but they understand that these things happen and we're kind and understanding. Don't ever talk badly about my bank. These people are not corporate shills. These people are like family.

The staff are on entirely different pages, you'll get different answers to any questions from different employees and half of them don't know what they're talking about. They need to PROPERLY TRAIN THEIR STAFF so that you don't waste your time and energy by coming down for a service they DON'T PROVIDE. It's ridiculous that they can't tell you the truth because they don't even know their own policies of machines ?. Plus, they want to have TWO SEPARATE charges for using an ATM that isn't one of theirs- they stole nearly $8 out of our account because they DIDN'T EVEN LET CUSTOMERS KNOW THEY CHANGED THE POLICY.
The ONLY reason this is 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff that actually does know what they're talking about is good at their jobs

Umpqua?? More like DUMPqua. Completely unprofessional and irresponsible. Place is infested with cockroaches and rats. One bit me while I was trying to make a deposit. Her name was Sandra. Doesn't even deserve the one star it makes me give.

Do NOT allow your home equity line to be transferred into a Smartlock because interest rates have been rising..it is a predatory loan payment structure that uses negative amortization tactics. You will pay much more in interest over a 10 year time period, for example. Even if you pay down the principal, the interest payment stays the same and that is predatory. I'm not referring to the interest rate that's locked in, but rather the monthly interest payment

Highly recommend not to bank with this bank. They’re unprofessional and need communication skills. If your not willing to help or hear your customers issues out you shouldn’t be working there. If customers come in it’s cause there’s something wrong with there account. The fact that you guys didn’t even acknowledge the fact of what was really going on and saying it wasn’t a bank error when clearly it was after you guys were notified of it you guys fixed it and I had shown all the proof I had even went out of my way to show them my account wasn’t updating. Until they manually updated it. Highly recommend people not to bank with these super unprofessional and they always think there right when clearly it’s a “bank error” worst bank iv ever banked.

I came here with my service dog to set up an account and had smiles and Zero harassment, banking here is easy, having a lock box for safe items, and the staff have really made us feel welcomed anytime!!!! Thank you!

Fee free checking, hassle free set up, transparency. You don't leave with a debt card but there are worse things.

More atm fees than you can count.very inconvenient to find a atm that’s ok to use.will be looking into a new bank ever since Umpqua took over nothing but fees

I have done a few mortgages with Umpqua in the past and was pleased with their service. This is not even close to the case now. We have 800 credit scores with ample income to qualify. The mortgage originator has been great to work with, but the underwriting staff is non-responsive and awful. We were set to close on this home a few weeks ago and we had to push out the closing. The underwriters came up with a few items that needed addressed on title, insurance etc. We successfully addressed each concern after we pushed out the close an additional week. Now that we have addressed each point the underwriter has raised, the underwriter will not respond to the mortgage officer. Seriously!!!! This is the most unprofessional business model I have ever heard of. I am at risk of losing this deal as the seller is tired of dealing with me, and with backup offers they are ready to move on. I cannot start over as it will take too long and I have already funded appraisal for Umpqua. I can honestly say the lack of communication and respect from Umpqua leads me to believe they do not value their customers. We have choices and I will encourage people to go elsewhere as they will have a better experience. It really is too bad as I used to like this bank.

I have been with this bank for several years. Caleb helped me set up my account and has been there for any questions i have. I just spoke to Anthony who was very friendly and understanding when I had a rare overdraft fee due to the timing of my bills. I love my bank and am happy to recommend Upmqua to anyone I know!

Stopped in to get a cashiers check, they had excellent covid precautions, but it took multiple attempts for them to get information on the check correct even though it was clearly written down.

I have been with this bank for several years. Caleb helped me set up my account and has been there for any questions i have.
