“My cat was very sick, and not eating for days. After a visit and some meds, she still didn't get better. Euthenasia was my choice, and it's always a difficult one. From the start, the staff was amazing and they made this process as painless as possible.
Penny died peacefully, in the best possible way. Dr. John Kuhn is an incredible vet. He was very compassionate, and told us we were making the right choice. It's hard to explain, because it's such a terrible thing to have to do, but I appreciate them more than they could ever imagine.
Afterwards, they gave us her paw prints in a beautiful case, then sent a card signed by the entire staff with a beautiful handwritten note from Dr. Kuhn. It was way above and beyond and meant so much to us.
Losing any pet is difficult, but their kindness and compassion will always mean a lot to us. They have my business as long as I'm here, and I'd recommend anyone else to go to them.
If you see this, Dr. Kuhn, just know that I appreciate you so much, and your staff is amazing. It doesn't take away from the sadness, but you couldn't have made this difficult choice any easier. Thank you so much! I'm sure it's a hard thing to do for you guys, as well, and the level of professionalism and compassion was absolutely top-notch!

“I love Dr Carrie, she has been the best vet i have ever had. She is extremely thorough and provides excellent, compassionate care every visit, and I have an elderly 18 yr old cat that challenges her most every visit! But she- and staff, are always extremely kind and caring. Dr. Carrie always goes above and beyond to care for my pets. And she has literally saved both of their lives at one time or another. I cant imagine trusting my girls to anyone else. I have never seen her without a kind caring smile, I always feel welcome and like she is happy to be caring for them. “I have been bringing my pets to this phenomenal group since moving here 24 years ago (before they established Wandermere Animal Hospital at the current location)! That is long enough that 2 of the original veterinarians have now retired. I have been with Dr. McCorkle, the current owner/operator, for 20 years.
This practice has provided life-long care for 4 of my cats and short-term care for 1 feral cat and one lost cat that was I eventually able to return to the owner. I count on them for routine care, crisis care, and the most compassionate euthanasia.
Dr. McCorkle is an exceptional clinician. She and her team are well-trained, profoundly compassionate, thorough, and make sure that I understand what is going on and our treatment options.
The support staff are also very good, gentle with the animals, and enthusiastic. Vet Tech, Heather, has been involved in the care of my kitties for many years. When I see that she is taking care of my cat, I immediately feel comforted. I trust her blindly.
I live on the South Hill and make the drive because I want the very best care for my pets from people I can trust.”

“Amazing experience! I came here after my vet recommended them for a fractured tooth for my pup. They were so kind and explained all my options and all possible pricing. I got to stay with my boy during the pre-med process and after the procedure while he was waking up, which was so so nice! 110% recommend going here for any pet dental stuff!! Today 7/30/24 Dr Mark made room in his schedule to see my son's ferret within an hour of our phone call requesting if it was possible to get an appointment. ? All staff were friendly as was Dr Mark, and he is just so informative, relaxed, friendly and not pushy towards expensive tests right at the get go. We both immediately felt comfortable w Dr Mark's approach in treating our ferret. My son has a disability so he easily gets upset and has limited financial resources as well. But he really likes Dr Mark and has trust w the "doc". I'm a retired Veterinarian assistant so I understand more about these medical issues than my son, and I was very impressed w Dr Mark! Thank you Hunter Veterinary Clinic! 5 all the way!”
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Rush and his staff. Our dog had a sock lodged in his stomach yesterday and needed emergency surgery. The vet we've taken him to for the past 7 years gave us an eye-watering, astronomical quote (up to $10K) and told us the chances of finding another vet to do same day surgery was next to nil.
We felt like we were stuck between a rock and a hard place. Our pup is an essential part of our family but we'd basically have to take out a loan to pay for his surgery. I decided to get a second opinion before we moved forward.
I saw all the great Google reviews about South Grand Vet, so they were the first vet I called. I'm so, so glad I did. They went out of their way to get our sweet boy into surgery– Dr. Rush even stayed with him well into the evening to ensure he was doing ok. We're so incredibly grateful to he and his staff. They will be our permanent vet from this day forward.”

Dr. Armstrong was so caring and helpful when Marley the cat ended up needing his tail amputated after a freak accident. Most recently we saw Dr. Kuhn and he was so kind and affectionate toward our older cat when she was having urinary issues, and helped ease my fears. Unfortunately we moved across country in the last few months but we will continue to recommend ITAH to all our Spokane animal friends!”

“I’ve been coming to this clinic since Dr Hunter was still in practice and love both Dr Shrag’s. The scheduling is a little different but it works. They have been great every time I see them and I trust them. A lot of people complain about having to pay for veterinary care but I have always found their prices reasonable. My dog is family to me and she’s worth the cost that’s expected with owning a pet. In the past I considered changing to a vet that has weekend appointments but Hunter is flexible. Pets can be dropped off for all or part of the day, seen by the vet and picked up when convenient for the owner. I will stick with them as long as I am a pet owner.”

“Dr. Scott Habegger, Inland Equine Veterinary Service, came to our home to check on our Tennessee Walker within a day of our calling him with concerns about her coughing. We knew she was not in a critical state or he would have made the time to come by sooner. We like the fact that he was willing to work with us based on our factual assessment of our horses needs. Very kind, very thorough, patient and reasonable rates. We plan that he will be our vet until our horses are gone. They’re in their mid 20s now.”

“Been comming here since befor they remodeled! My eldest babies are 12yrs old, and grown up with a home full of pets befor these wild turkeys? and I know my fur babies have had their lived prolonged due to their their teams honesty and understanding! they of course want the very best for ours pets but also more then understand that the cost can be a bit hard ,especially when you have a very large pet family? they have always been down to earth about the options/choices and realities, give the lowest to highest price options/make it clear what the choices involve and more then open to sharing even their own personal exsperinces from those other choices/options(example farmers dog-where I get my dogs fresh food, vs honest kitchen-their recommended fresh food company(which may be a little cheaper but equal quality))
I recommen them to anyone!”
