Visited the deli, there was a line which I expected BUT only one employee. The poor girl behind the counter was doing her best to help everyone in a timely manner, but there were about 7 other people waiting. Her manager was even right next to the counter and I heard her ask for help and the manager was extremely rude and snapped at her in front of us. I understand people are short staffed, but I would expect better leadership and compassion from management.

If i could give zero stars i would. My daughter went in on 9/24 to get her 2nd pfizer vaccine, she received NO paperwork regarding adverse effects, or expected effects. Simply tried to call the pharmacy to ask what the effects were, as i thought hers may have been an adverse effect, but they couldnt be bothered with a phone call, and not just once or twice, but 3 times dropped my call. Walgreens answered my call and questions and they werent even the ones who gave the injection. Do yourself a favor, dont go to a rinky dink pharmacy for things like vaccines. Visit your doctor or a chain that doesnt sell chicken liver the next isle over.

This is just a heads up folks. An FYI that actually hurts me to have to share. Safeway: I grew up going to the Safeway store that was only 5 blocks from home. I knew the employees and they knew me. In the last 10 years I've become very disappointed with Safeway. To the point where I moved my prescriptions and have done most of my grocery and gasoline shopping elsewhere. This weekend I decided to try one more time. That was a mistake. I placed a small online order to be picked up today. The problem? 1- I allowed substitutions 2- The notice that my order was ready, didn't allow me to disapprove the substitutions they picked 3- I went to the store to pick up my order and the lady who came out with the order didn't want to hear what I was asking. I asked why there is no way to approve or disapprove of substitutions made. All she would say was ... You have the right to refuse substitutions when you place the order. 4- This is an asinine stance. How am I to know what they have available for a substitution? 5- My beef is about Lunchables. I ordered a variety of the cheese, meat and crackers. I got NONE of those. They gave me nachos and salsa and chicken nuggets. I completely fail to understand why they think these are equivalent. I have never and will never purchase those by choice. 6- Because they didn't allow me to disapprove those substitutions ... I was forced to spend 74% of my order on things I don't want and wouldn't buy. That's highway robbery! Yes, I sent a message to Safeway. I am sharing this because I would hate for anyone else to get caught in this trap. Oh, and if you're thinking I'm being unreasonable ... I feel sorry for you. The service I expected is what I have been receiving at the other store I shop at. It's ridiculous to expect a customer to put up with being forced to buy items they don't want. Safeway has lost my trust.

Customers service... You should be a shane of yourself a elder lady was in line today and she almost had a heart attack while your zombie worker was playing around your line was 9 people while you sat there and talk to your coworkers and not your job .. This was 5 pm I would be embarrassed to have you work in my business have some dam respect for your elders and drug test your employees.. Pathetic I will never go back to this store if you get a paycheck do your job .. You dont get paid to have play time with your co workers absolutely disgusting and by the way I'm a mandatory reported you never know who you would be in your line but today you know ....

Quality of produce is dangerous, customer service is confrontational. I bought a bell pepper only to find out it was internally moldy when I cut it open the same day I purchased it. Customer service only offered to exchange it for another moldy bell pepper, with no further compensation. I did notice the fridges were down the night before this happened, it appears they did not replace or even check the produce that was left out unrefrigerated over night. Very disappointed I can not trust this Safeway any more.

I like this Safeway! Generally the staff is friendly &'helpful. Safeway almost always has sales on their Signature products. The bread is delicious! Also there's usually even a sale for the canned cat food. I love the freg

I have been shopping at Safeway Store on E Mission in Spokane for 50 years and always satisfied with customer service. Today, a box boy, names Shawn, not only carried out my groceries but came to my aid when I told him that might car might not start. He discovered I had just purchased the wrong kind of oil and took back my oil and exchanged it for the right weight. As I struggled to get the oil cap open he helped me pour it in my car. I made a joke that if I had the money, I would pay his college tuition, for helping me. He told me he is enrolling in the policy academy here in Spokane. What an upstanding, polite young man. Very very impressed!

I love Safeway primarily for the deserts! Compared to other grocery store bakeries this one is way better! Especially because I favor whipped frostings rather than buttercream, their whipped cream is real not the stuff that comes in a bucket. The cakes are super moist and delicious plus reasonably priced! All of us in my family get our birthday cakes from here. The rest of the grocery store is fine nothing super special, like any of the others they have great sales here and there. My only gripe would be is that it seems Safeway never has enough cashiers on during busy times. This frustrates me and why I would prefer to do majority of shopping elsewhere but, will always get my cakes here. Oh! And their deli meats which are the primo taglio brand and beyond better than other stores! Way way higher quality! Take the test and try a sample of roast beef from another store brand and then try Safeway's primo brand! Trust me! You will see why it's superior. Safeway is a little more pricey for regular groceries compared to Walmart or Fred Meyer but reality is, somethings you just have to get and pay for higher quality.

Not in the best neighborhood that is for sure but that aside this Safeway is ok. Very poor wine selection. Always good veggies and fruit. Meat and fish selections are always plentiful with some of the best deals being the manager specials. I like going in the mornings and I catch plenty of good deals on meat, fish, and chicken. Nice employees and a gas station out front. Gas prices here are mid range for Spokane area. Starbucks inside and Starbucks in parking lot as well. I avoid late night due to the drug heads lurking around outside of store. Taco Bell and Jack in the Box out front in parking lot as well.

Hard to rate this place. On the one hand I want to say "they are pricey" which is true. On the other I want to say, "when they have deals they have good deals " which is true too. I love their 50% off meat, chicken, beef, & fish when available. Usually they'll do buy 2 get one free on spices, but rarely and fortunately I've gotten my hands on buy 1 got 1 free. They have a: Bakery! Deli! Butcher counter! And a beautiful selection of fresh & organic fuits and veggies. Come to think of it... This safeway is not bad. Good standard place to shop.

This store is average. Not fancy, but the produce and selection of merchandise is good. Service is good too. There are quite a few sketchy people, esp at night, but that is due the neighborhood, not the store persay. It's only four blocks from my house and sales are good, so that is why I keep going back.

No longer open 24 hours and the people that shop there (other than students are real questionable). Not a surprise to be hassled by drunk or meth'ed out people in the parking lot. Also, this Safeway has the highest prices in Spokane. Drive five minutes down Indiana and the Safeway there is cheaper on all items. Just another business trying to take advantage of College Kids that are grocery shopping for the first time.
