I lost my wallet and needed to cancel my credit and debit card. There were long delays in getting transferred to the person with level of authority to cancel the cards and review recent transactions to ensure that there were no fraudulent charges. Because I'm traveling soon and needed a rapid replacement for my debit card, I was told that I could go to ANY branch and get an immediate replacement. I went to the Global Branch on Fourth Ave in Spokane and was told their card maker was broken and told to go to another branch 7 .5 miles away. I was wary to travel more distance without making sure their card maker was functional. I looked on Global's website and could not find a phone number for the branch with the alleged working card maker. Long waiting times, inaccurate information about where I could get a card replaced, a broken card maker ( I mean that's their business - essential items should be rapidly fixed and / or there should be redundancy for essential items) and no phone number to call the branch to which I had been referred. I liked Alaska USA, but if this poor service is the result of a lengthy merger with plenty of time to iron out problems, I'm rethinking remaining a member.

I visited 3 days ago. Lots of people without masks. I was at deli and 2 women also there without masks. I asked if they would put on masks as required by state mandate AND Safeway policy per their large sign at entrance.
These women immediately became loud, angry and then accused me of "shedding my covid vaccine on them" and flipped me off. I left scene and asked employee to call manager (they then called me a"Karen" apparently not getting what a"Karen' actually reverse to).
Manager showed up and began getting to calm them down but not before one of the women COUGHED in my face!! Without a mask on her face!
I ended up in tears. I couldn't believe these 2 were not escorted out of store.
Called next day but basically got the "everyone has their opinion" and although patrons are offered the option of a mask, Safeway will not enforce the policy.
Not good enough. Today I try rosauers and was delighted to see almost every patron wearing a mask without screaming and flipping off other customers and coughing on them. Every employee was helpful, friendly and complying with covid-19 protocol.
I will no longer go to Safeway and I wanted to share my story. Very very unhappy with how the whole situation was handled. I also am sharing my story with friends and family and asking them to avoid Safeway as well.
Shame on you Safeway. Non-compliant in addition to poor handling of a situation that brought me to tears.
