I am beyond frustrated with the YMCA and their shady membership practices. For SIX months, I’ve been charged for a membership I’ve tried to cancel THREE times! Each time, I followed their cancellation process to the letter, yet they continue to bill me without explanation or apology.
I’ve called, emailed, and even gone in person, but nothing seems to work. The staff either don’t know what they’re doing or simply don’t care. I’m tired of being given the runaround while they siphon money out of my account.
This is not just bad customer service; it’s borderline theft.
I've tried to contact them again via. email, but all I got was an automated response.

The staff at the front desk & check in are always friendly & helpful. The parking lot tends to fill up and so parking can be hard at times. The lifeguards tend to be fairly young and don’t seem to be too serious about their job. Today I saw one rush past a man with a walker headed to the family bathroom doors to the pool and the lifeguard didn’t even hold the door for him. Pretty rude manners or lack there of.

I was excited to see they actually have hot water in the restrooms to prevent spread of cold and flu, but unfortunately they took away the cleaning wipes for the workout floor and replaced again with a spray bottle and paper towels. Not everyone is going to make the effort to walk back and forth to the spray bottle station every time when switching to different equipment. The wipes were way more convenient and saw way more people actually using them to sanitize once they were done using equipment. Also with the paper towels and wipes I have had to remind workers weekly to makes sure there are paper towels or wipes stocked and accessible. Let's do better by making sure all the towels are ready to go (and not empty) to help keep up healthy and safe. I'd rather not have to be the one to make sure these supplies are available as I am not an employee only a customer.

Have come to the pool almost everyday but during the past 3 weeks at least one day per week so at least three times the aquatics has not opened on time. But yet I'm expected to pay the full amount for my membership. Sometimes it's a chemical issue which they do not let the lifeguards fix sometimes a lifeguard does it make it to work on time however this is unacceptable

There was a time when the YMCA was a respected name, NO MORE ! To think that you used to be a Christian organization, what a JOKE !

Their aquatics facility has broken equipment, hours are closed before we can get there. Not what they used to be since Covid. Overpriced unless you are unemployed or retired, then you can get on their free plan.

Been coming here for years, actually since 1974 (2nd grade), when the YMCA was in Riverfront Park. Recently had an issue, staff made it better for all of us. Love the staff. Saw a Lifeguard actually sitting on a bench this week conversing with someone who looked like they needed a friend at the moment. Thank you for being AWESOME!

Thier Human Resources and Corporate Team are Hippocrates. They go against everything they stand for and make you believe they are this helping organization maybe to thier members cause they pay them a membership fee but to the employees is a different story Very Disappointed and I cant respect a Company that dont folliw thier own company Core Values that they pretend to show the community theyre so great but behind the scenes ate Hippocrates!

One of my favorite gyms, mainly bc of the staff & lack of crowdedness. The childcare is amazing & everyone was so kind there. My son would come screaming out about how much fun he had there everyday & the staff always seemed happy to be there. Workers were always super helpful. There is only 1 smith machine & 2 seats for upper body, but it was never an issue no matter what time I went.

So far so good. I actually came in the last 5 minutes to sign up for a membership and Kacey (Sorry if I spelled it wrong) was actually very patient and still took the time needed to get me a membership. If the rest of the staff are as pleasant as her then Im sure Ill always enjoy going here.

Most any gym will be more affordable and generally better than the YMCA. The YMCA harms the community with predatory employment practices and the community would be better off without the YMCA.
