Beacon Rock State Park is an excellent place to spend time as a couple or as a family. It offers a favorite hike with fantastic and amazing views that are breathtaking and very nice. The hike to the summit is scenic and serene, though it requires a little physical condition and can be steep, making you dizzy. The guarded ledge makes it family friendly. The park also has a great campground with very clean bathrooms and showers. It is absolutely unmissable and highly recommended.
Fun hike, get there early as parking fills up. Beautiful views of the gorge!

Stayed in one of the five full hookup spots. Not terribly private but otherwise fine. Trains routinely running on nearby tracks. Bathrooms clean, well maintained. Hiked the Beacon Rock Trail. Totally worth it.
