I’d like to share my honest review and experience with a local business called “A4ordable Bookkeeping” Since I moved to the valley a few years ago, I’ve made an effort to support people in the community and work with local businesses. Last year, in December 2023, I came across this business on Facebook. As I needed someone to handle my earnings and losses for my businesses, I decided to reach out to the person behind “A4ordable Bookkeeping”.
I submitted all the necessary information in December for one of my companies, and then again in January for the remaining two. I patiently waited until March to receive the completed reports because I had an upcoming appointment to file my taxes. When I reviewed the reports, I noticed something concerning: one of the companies had a very high negative number. Essentially, it showed that my losses were nearly equal to my gross income, but in the negative direction.
Curious, I examined the reports for the other two companies. To my surprise, they also had the same mistakes. It appears that the bookkeeper is using some automated software to calculate expenses and earnings, and this software caused significant issues. Initially, I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal—I’d simply contact her to rectify the errors. However, when I realized that all three companies had major miscalculations, I became concerned about the accuracy of my financial reporting. I didn’t want the IRS to come after me for reporting incorrect earnings and expenses.
I reached out to the bookkeeper, explaining the missed calculations and issues across all three companies. I expressed my dissatisfaction and requested a refund for the initial payment of around $900. Unfortunately, she declined to return my money, leaving me with no choice but to hire someone else to redo the entire report. I gave her a week to address the problems, but she remained uncooperative. Now, I feel compelled to warn others: if they choose to work with this person and have any reports done, they should double-check their reports/filings before the IRS gets involved. The potential fines could be substantial—hundreds of thousands of dollars. Initially, I had planned to continue working with her in the coming years, but her failure to perform her job properly has left me frustrated. While I understand that mistakes happen, the magnitude of these errors was staggering. I’ve wasted four months and $900 for nothing. Despite demonstrating the inadequacy of her work, she stubbornly refuses to issue a refund for the money I paid.

Aly is fantastic! Personable and affordable providing my business with the support I need to continue. I went from being 2 years behind on annuals and paying late every quarter on sales tax to being back in smooth waters. Now I can focus on servicing the community and growing my business for the future! Highly recommended for small business in the Sky Valley.

Do not hire this company unless you have money to throw away. By not properly filing my taxes they just cost me $3000.00. My current bookkeeper thought she could recoup the money from the IRS but nope! I'm out!

The owner Cindy and her assistant Alley have always taken great care of my personal taxes and my Corporations bookkeeping / taxes for years now. I like the fact that they are easily reached and respond quickly when I need help. I also love the fact that I'm always welcome to stop by at anytime and I'm greeted with smiling faces. I also get to say proudly that I support the local businesses where I live and work.
