Great little book store. Solid selection even though it is a smaller store. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Our kids love the kids loft area and they have a great used book program (both trading and selling).

Such a cozy book shop with lots of variety between old and new. Allow yourself plenty of time to browse the shelves and peek into all the corners. The “blind date with a book” is also a brilliant way to find a good read. So clever!

Literally, the BEST book store I have ever been to. They have an incredible selection of books, from kids to adults. Every employee is very knowledgeable, and if they don’t have a book they can order it for you easily. So friendly and kind. I love this bookstore!

There is a great variety of new, used, and book series bundles throughout the store. The staff was welcoming and so sweet! Take time is needed to meander into the little mini room nooks to find hidden delights. The store does not appear large, but the setup makes it appear large and more time was spent than you realize. There are also a large blind book selections to play a game of book roulette which we did and the selections we received looked like great reads.

It's such a cozy place. Literally a dream if I could ever work there! I take pictures of everything I am not buying so my husband never has 'no gifts' in mind for holiday, etc. Such an easy place to buy and for him to shop/me to build a wishlist! From one book worm to another it is 100% worth it to stop in and shop.

I wish to state up front that my rating is based on my opinion of my experience and not a fair rationalization of the store; I absolutely hope you'll stop in yourself. They've a wide assortment of categories available. Even found a book I hadn't read in 20 years - it had previously been a difficult find, or so I'd been told. Didn't think twice when I saw it on the shelf, with its shiny, hard-back goodness.Clean, well lit, cottage ambiance. It rates 4 stars simply for two reasons. First, because I wasn't approached for help. To be fair, I advise you that I also had not asked. I was browsing. Second, the size of the shop is not large, and while the maximum efficiency seems to have been a goal, the difficulty of two bodies passing in an aisle is real while examining a book or particularly in the aisle that traverses the store's front and rear entrances where traffic can be substantial.

I absolutely loved this shop and could have easily spent a full day here. I wanted to but the hubby and kids overruled me, so... Anyhow, this spot was nice and cozy and they had some true gems. I loved all of the sections that they had, including the little nook with kids books. I'd love one without kids books, but good for the kids. My favorite section is where they had a place for people to put the books they want to sell. I like the equity because I have a hard time selling books in Berkeley, CA. They don't take my books or they take two bags of books and give me $5. Really?!? And I'm a book nerd so I read and I take good care of my books, better care of them than other things. But I hear about how old my books are and how they can't take them. But I peruse the shelves and see books older than me and wonder how that happened. I think that they don't believe that the books belong to me. Actually, one guy yelled at me when I brought in my grad school books to sell and he wanted to know where I got the books and complained that they were old. I was worried they wouldn't return the book to me. I also realized that when selling books I have to dress up and look more professional, no more gym attire, although it hasn't worked. I say all that to say that the equitable, anonymous system they set up to buy books from customers is fantastic! The people here are totally nice and I don't think they'd see a black person come in with a bunch of books and assume that I found them somewhere or that they'd need to justify how they got the book. So that type of equity is important and I found it in Sumer, WA, not Berkeley, CA (I can't say I'm surprised about Berkeley). I would come to Sumner for this alone. It's absolutely worth it.
