I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this shop. After reading some of the rave reviews on this place. I called them to see about getting a new rear brake handle installed on my 16 speed Huffy. All the person on the phone asked was " Is that a mountain bike?" I said I thought it was a hybrid. He then said he didn't have anything in stock and that was it. Didn't offer to order anything, didn't ask if I wanted to bring the bike in. Nothing. I guess the 30 year old bike that I inherited from my now dead father wasn't good enough for this snooty shop to work on.I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. NO ONE deserves to be treated like trash just because their bike doesn't cost thousands of dollars. I may not have a bunch of money, but what I do have is reputation for honesty, a whole bunch of fellow cyclist friends and a BIG mouth that has no problem spreading the truth about this establishment. So, folks, if you're not dripping with dough, give this sad shop a HARD PASS. Apparently they only serve a "select clientele".Judging from some of the other comments I've been reading, this place has a history of total snobbery.I will be taking all my money somewhere else.

They need to send their employees to How To Be A Good Salesman 101. When someone is interested in a bike that is locked up and the seat is far too low. Offer to unlock it, raise the seat up for them, let 'em pedal it around the parking lot. Really try to sell the thing and be nice about it. Don't watch as they try to get on with your chain getting tangled around their legs, not offer to raise the seat and to take it for a test drive. You flat out just lost that sale. Two thumbs down.

An awesome place that did the maintenance requested on my bike for a reasonable fee, and a lot faster than they had originally stated, I'll definitely be returning for any of my road bike needs

After reviewing the shop online, I noted several adult tricycles in the pictures. I took my autistic son in to hopefully find the right fit for him. I walked into the shop, the man behind the counter didn't even stand up and said are you looking for something. I said I was looking for a 3 wheel bike. He said he didn't have any. Then he looked at me and said anyways they run about $825.00. As if I couldn't afford it. So I went home and ordered one from online. So much for supporting local small business. He could have sold a $825.00 bike today. I could have waited for it to be ordered if he had been more courteous towards me. Thumbs down on my customer service experience.Thankfully the ice cream shop was right next door to save the day, my little guy was bummed!

They did a great job on tuning up my bike that hadn’t been used in a while. A few months later, I needed help putting pedals on and they did it super quickly and didn’t charge me. Great customer service.

I originally got a specialized rock hopper. I was told it's a good beginner mountain bike to get out and going. After weeks of having it the derailer was having issues. Knowing I had a warranty I took it to them. They ended up replacing the derailer and telling me my warranty was over because of the replacement part. Since replacement I have had more problems with the gears shifting as well as the cranks coming loose. No biggie. I went riding and broke some spokes on a rear tire. I took it to them and they inspected it and told me they could fix it $50 and 2 weeks. On the 2 week mark I went in and it wasn't touched yet. They informed me that they would have it done by the end of the day and then I got a call saying that the outer loop had a flat spot and couldn't be repaired. They were more then willing to make me pay for a new rim.I ended up taking it to the bicycle hub in South Hill and they looked at immediately and said that it was fixable. They gave me about a week and a half timeline that they would replace it and the cost was only $35.Very upset that they had my rim for 2 weeks after looking at it just to get a call saying they can't fix it which was BS. Also that my warranty just disappears after a repair for a bike that I barley ride gravel trails with.

Went in to look at bikes for my growing, nearly 8year old son. Seamus (?) was great, provided awesome assistance and informed me of a bike they just got (still in box) that would fit him and for a great deal! They put it together in just a few days and wow! This bike is awesome! Thank you for making this purchase decision easy!

I took my reasonably good 20 year old mongoose in for some professional TLCI was told it wasn’t worth putting any money into it and that I should just get a brand new bikeI asked for something comparable to my 21 speed mongoose mountain bike, and I was sold a Marin 16 speed that might be OK along city streets and 2 miles down the road on the city streets caught a shard of metal in the tire that promptly popped because it had thin tires compared to my mongooseAnd true to their posted policies the tires were dirty so they wouldn’t let me return it but he did replace the inner tube on the $500 bike that I no longer wantedThey seem to be good guys, but they stick with their policies and their highly prejudice against bikes that were purchased at Walmart, but seem to be good bikes for last 20 years

Quick in and attentive service people. Reasonable pricing. Took my road bike in for a tune up. 1 week time line now typical.

I'm sure it's a good but something I'd like to see is the prices before I set foot on the property. Oh you can call to find out prices like an old person. I'd like to see the price so I can decide if I can afford such a place. Cause every "local" small time bike shop has over the top prices. I'm just a little confused about the name, why bonney lake when your in downtown sumner. I'd like to see if I could get a electric scooter for reasonable price and not have to call or go down there in person without knowing what I'm getting into.

Had the best experience working with John today. We came in not long before they closed and he never made us feel rushed. He was extremely knowledgeable and got us set with two mountain bikes and a couple rockhoppers. After going to some larger bike shops we are really glad we chose to shop local. Highly recommend visiting John if you need a bike of any kind!!!

Marshall at Bonney Lake Bicycle in Sumner provided cheerful, professional, and INSTANT service when I walked in. Without my asking, he took care of my recumbent trike maintenance needs while I waited--a real convenience for me. Not only was his service top notch but the price was less than I had expected, a real value. Marshall and Bonney Lake Bicycle in Sumner are THE BEST!
