Very aggressive over the phone. Simple question about fees and he started yelling very aggressively over the phone. I am not sure why he thought it was okay to yell at me. I communicated that I was not yelling at him or speaking to him disrespectfully. I tried to let him know other companies in the area such as tri cites have diagnostic fees that go toward the repair if the client chooses to move forward with the business. (UPDATE* I live in Sunnyside. The stove is located in Pasco. I’m moving the stove to Grandview. I have been calling different businesses because I have never had a problem with a stove. All of this is new to me. I did not know some places offer a credit for a diagnostic fee. After, a business in Tri-cities informed me they did. I figured it was worth the time to ask other businesses closer to my residence if they also credit the diagnostic fee). As I mentioned before, I did not mean to offend this man. I did not expect a question to trigger this man. However, he was not willing to listen. Instead, he started yelling more at me. I felt like hanging up on him. I tried to explain I didn’t mean to offend him by asking if the diagnostic fee goes toward the repair cost. He however was not having it. He kept yelling “do you want to work for free? I’m sick and tired of people wanting free labor.” He cooled down eventually after all the yelling and then asked “so what’s wrong with it” ? like what? I told him it was just a question, again I did not mean to offend him. I would not feel comfortable working with this man. I wonder if he would have the courage to yell at a man that way ? Just letting all you ladies & residents of the City of Sunnyside know ☀️ definitely stay away

I love this place very helpful, knowledgeable, and the owner may seem a little grumpy but he's actually a sweetheart! And his Son Eric is also just as helpful and knowledgeable and hilarious ? best laugh in the world! Reminds me of my Grandpa Good locally-owned business with great people who truly care and work hard to get the job done the way it should be.

Very rude and unprofessional. They sold me a washer that doesn't work and never came to fix it. I don't understand where all the good reviews are coming from... probably friends and family.Update: I had bought a new washer from Sears but did not fit where I wanted to put it so I decided to go with an old school washer and thats when someone recommended these guys and do I regret it. I notified them with in the 30 day period they gave me to come fix the washer and would keep telling me they would call me back when they had time and even hang up but would never call me back. Once I even pretended to be a different person who needed their services and they were being nice and actually had time. Can't believe I wasted my time with them when I could easily go buy a new washer.Ps. Regardless of the 30 day period can't justify why they sold me a messed up washer that tells you what kind of people they are

Last week we accidentally left our refrigerator door open overnight. The next morning, when we closed the refrigerator door, the compressor started running loudly and constantly. I searched online and found Mahoney & Sons. The gentleman I spoke to, gave me "free" advice on what I could to remedy this situation. Following his advice, several hours later our refrigerator was running (quietly) and as good as new. Thank you so much, Mahoney & Sons, for your help. I can wholeheartedly say, that if we need appliance repair in the future, we will be calling Mahoney & Sons!Service: Refrigerator repair

Mr. Mahoney Came out to fix our dryer. Charged us about 10% of what it would take for the Samsung repairman to come out.It's actually very reassuring that there are still great small family businesses like this. It's what's really great about this country. Thanks for the help.Service: Dryer repair
