Ok so first off Angelo saw us pull in and opened the door welcoming us warmly as soon as we had parked ❤️Very chill and relaxing atmosphere. Excellent wine presented beautifully. The goldfish were A+ for you and the dogs!!So nice to have wine in a warm none pretentious place with comfortable seating options, dogs and great conversation.A younger couple taking over a family legacy and Lauren and Angelo are bring tradition into 2024 with a refreshing and inclusive take on the wine experience.Bateaux Cellars is definitely a local treasure destined for greatness.I recommend Night Cap as a tasting and take home bottle. We can’t wait to return.

Stopped in on the way back to Salem from the factory outlets and discovered a real treat. They happened to also be doing a holiday art bazaar that day. Great wine and great people. Definitely be back.

Went here on a whim because of the amazing reviews and location. Wow. What a wonderful place! It’s just a bonus that the wine was delicious.I did a white/rose tasting and my husband did a red. You get 5 and we tried each others. My first was a Riesling, which I typically do not like, but my goodness, it was so good, that I had two glasses of it after my tasting, along with their Sauvignon Blanc. The property is stunning and nicely tucked away from….well, life. I felt like I could decompress here regardless of other people visiting the winery.Owners were super friendly but in a comforting not invading way. Their daughter and son-in-law also work there so it was quite the family affair and very well organized. We only had one negative but it was rectified the same day so that negative is no more, which was an over charge which we didn’t notice until we got home. We reached out and it wasn’t long before we got a response and the issue was resolved promptly. It did not deter us whatsoever, because it was a simple error. We absolutely loved this place and definitely will be back. We want to check out the live music and enjoy more of the beautiful atmosphere. Thanks again, you guys did an amazing job!

On a rest day between mountain adventures we thought this could be fun diversion. We didn't regret stopping by as it is a great setting with a lot of activities to pass the time (horse shoes, disc golf, corn hole, bocce, and of course wine). Our hosts were very friendly and pleasant to chat with as we sampled the regional wines. More a place to relax and have fun than to indulge in an upscale wine experience, but we all found something we liked. The tasting fee was also very reasonable. As a carful of Californians we also appreciated the flags flying at the entrance - not necessarily what one might expect in rural Washington.

I came here to see a band perform, and as a concert venue, Bateaux does quite well. When the weather's nice, the music's outdoors. Shade can be hard to find, but the staff told me to feel free to grab an Adirondack chair and position it wherever I wanted to, which was appreciated. The staff is extremely friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. While it may seem weird for a non-alcohol drinker to visit a winery, I've been told at other wineries that it's quite common, and other wineries offer a fair selection of non-alcoholic beverages for such patrons. Bateaux only offers water, so anybody hoping for kombucha, iced tea, sodas, etc. is out of luck. Their food menu consists of two pizzas: Margherita, and pepperoni. They're wood-fired, and the dough is made in-house. The pizzas are competent, but they're on the pricy side, and are nothing noteworthy. Service is fast, and there is table service, even if you're just sitting in an Adirondack chair that you randomly positioned in a spot of shade close to the stage. Be aware that Bateaux is completely hidden from view from its street entrance, and that there is a longer-than-expected drive on a single-lane dirt road to get from the street to the winery. Although I didn't encounter any traffic trying to leave when I was entering, eluding oncoming traffic would have been tricky.

What a great winery & company! This was my first ever wine tasting & I found a wine (Riesling) that is absolutely amazing! So I made my first ever wine purchase and I will certainly be back. The owners are absolutely lovely as well.

What a fun experience. We stopped by on our way down to Portland and were blown away. Good wine, wood fired pizza, corn hole, horseshoes and they are building a disc golf course. Met the winemaker and his family. 5 generous pours for $10. Definitely worth the small detour off I-5! They are also dog friendly.

My husband and I stopped here on a trip up to Seattle and everything was amazing. The wine flights are super affordable at $10 for five good pours and all of the wine was tasty. We especially liked the Chardonnay and the two red blends. They have wood fired pizza and charcuterie boxes available for food and for entertainment there is bocce ball, corn hole and horse shoes. Their outdoor area is super cute and the staff was laid back, friendly and hospitable. If there are no clouds there's a great view of Mt. Rainier as well. We will definitely be back if we are in the area.

Love our local winery and the great family that runs it. We're regulars for their fine wine, pizza and locally made ciders. Live local musicians make it even better.

This was an absolutely amazing experience! The wine is incredible and the pizza is fantastic. We met the winemaker Steve who is very genuine and welcoming. Everyone there made us feel comfortable and included. This was some of the best wine I've had in a while. We plan on coming back and highly recommend it to anyone.
