We've stayed at the cabins in the past, but this year my health prohibited us from going. The owner (Heather) refused to return any part of our reservation fees, which are one day's cabin rent, even though we gave over 6 months advance notice that we couldn't make the trip. Really? $110 down the tube because of unethical business practices. Also the restaurant has declined. The last time we ordered the prime rib special, there was no vegetable or baked potato. Full price was still charged. We will not be returning and suggest the nearby campground instead.

Shout out to Ramon, Josh, Elaine, and Pepper!! My family and I had a fantastic time because of these amazing people. All of these awesome individuals went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. I really appreciate all of their outstanding hospitality, service, caring personality, and kindness. The food was out of this world, top tier and great portions (thanks Josh)! It's people like Ramon, Josh, Elaine, and Pepper that make our day brighter and better! These people who light up the atmosphere deserve recognition for their hard work and love. It was a joy and a blast at the Bonaparte Lake Resort, and we're so excited to come back again! 10/10 stars

Bonaparte is always a great place to visit. Good abominations and great food. Camped in the rv side and fished the lake.

The food is always top shelf. The chance of getting a server to acknowledge you and take your order is at best a crapshoot. By far the poorest service of any food establishment in Okanagan County. The employees openly bicker and complain about whose turn it is to take a table. We ate breakfast there yesterday 8/27. The male server talked to himself and the blond server wore a scowl the entire time of our visit. 20 minutes to get menus, 30 minutes later we requested help, 35 minutes we received tea and water, 40 minutes our order was taken. There were very few customers. If you want good service go here Mondays, Tuesdays or on a Wednesday, they are closed on these days. Hire some adults for God sake and stop hiring the local looneys.

I stayed here approximately 10 years ago as the guest of someone who had been gifted a cabin for a week. Yes the cabins are rustic if you want to say it that way, they are not fancy, but very functional. I had no problem making an array of side dishes, for the trout we cooked outside in our fire pit, and there's a picnic table. We had our own little dock, and I've never fished so much in my life. My family is from Eastern Washington and I was born there so I would say that if you truly love Eastern Washington, you would like staying here. For me it is a wonderful memory and I would like to go back sometime that's why I'm here looking it up online. The restaurant is wonderful also. The little store was well stocked with essentials, like beer, and cans of corn for fishing, and other convenience store type items.

In the past 3 weeks we have literally traveled from one side of the state to the other. This is by far is the best food we have had in the whole state of Washington. The service was great. The prices were great. The portions were huge. We had the Garlic tiger prawns, and the ribeye steak they were delicious. And plentiful. The ambiance is perfect, with a beautiful view that overlooks the lake, and mountains.

Great breakfast and Prime Rib dinners. But check for hours. On certain days you'll need to call ahead

Very rustic, like stepping back into the 1950's. Beautiful lake and shoreline. Quaint cabins. We were there for the prime rib dinner.

Most unprofessional place! I’d highly not recommend coming here. We booked a cabin with them for deer hunting, we get a phone call the day we are supposed to check in saying they double booked the cabin we were supposed to have. The owner Heather could only apologize and not give us any options on something they could do to fix it. We have been coming here for a long time and used to love this place, now it seems like an inconvenience for them to have us back. It’s sad how such a loving place can turn so badly because of poor ownership.

It's basic; food was good, cabins were adequate. The communal bathroom needed some attention. Besides the aesthetics, if you want affordable, isolation and immediate access to willderness, this is the place for you. Also - if want the best mix of trout and other fish, this is the place quietly waiting for you.
