I can't tell you how great this bank is....I had to set up an estate account and am clueless regarding anything to do with finances. I had tried at another bank but came back to Tukwila. I had always banked there and had such good experiences I though, even though the estate was in another state I could at least know that the staff were good. Ashnil and Rob Williams (manager) set me up, explained the process so I understood it and were both kind and fun to work with...always available to answer all of my weird questions. I learned alot about how convoluted the system is and how good it is to have a bank that is able to walk you through all of the baloney. Between Asnil, Rob and Jose I was able to get through a ridiculous process without losing all of my sanity!! Thank you guys for your help!

I've been with this bank for too long- they are awful- always have been- they make horrible mistakes mixing accounts, they don't have personnell there (since when does banking stop when someone is "at lunch"?). You can't do international wires from here. Customer service is absolutely horrible - ineffectual and unapologetic. If I didn't have such complicated accounts - I would leave.

The branch itself is ok. But very unprofessional when it comes to financing a vehicle. The underwriter is 2 faced. I applied through them as I bank here and got an approval. Yet the time I found the right vehicle at a dealership, i was in the room with the finance manager and he placed a phone call on speaker talking to the Salal underwriter. The underwriter had nothing positive to say about me (not knowing I was in the room) for example “he has too many vehicles I don’t know why he needs more”. And more things he said. That doesn’t concern him. I make my payments and make the money and never late on payments with other banks. However the finance manager did stop him and told him he was very unprofessional and they will not work with Salal finance regarding me and got me a instant approval through sound credit union. How embarrassing is that??

We attempted to get a home loan. It was an issue after issue throughout. The underwriter attempted to extend the closing date without informing us. We had to be told by our agent, not the credit union. Then, despite having pay stubs and forms filled out by the employer, They asked that we track down a talent head hunter who left her job in the Philippines to sign an employment offer by our employer. Now, they plan to charge us fees for us to cancel our loan application. They are now trying to blame the builder but won't provide proof. Despite builder scheduling a new home orientation 2 days prior to closing. A new lender approved us in 72 hours after 3 weeks of round around. They were excellent financing our previous solar panels. That's why we try finance our house with them. A follow-up, shortly after their response to my review. I was able to talk to Salal regional manager. I give her credit. She was willing to listen and review all the issues that came up. She was extremely patient and apologetic for the stress this place on us. She without prompting recended all fees. She also promised to look at their system issues to prevent others from having to experience what we did.

After applying for a 12k loan and showing proof of over 100k income they denied because the underwriter took being proven wrong personally. What a joke of a bank.

Had some get a hold of my card info and was withdrawing small amounts I didn't notice, a representative Jacob helped me submit a claim to get some of my money back. Thank you Jacob, sorry if I spelt your name wrong :)

Don't bank here! The banks can only charge you 6 overdraft charges in a month. I see they have charged me over $1,000 in July in overdraft charges! 3 were removed as a one time courtesy but that is getting over. If they were in their customer's best interest they'd proactively reach out & offer alternatives especially someone like me who couldn't even pay their rent yesterday of $1825! I have never seen any financial institution be ok with that. I also did not like the line of questioning from the bran h when I told them 2 of my creditors were told not to take money and they did it anyway! They do investigations like their own customer they just creamed in charges is lying but to me, that's a way to keep me drowning in charges. The manager seemed more interested in coming out of his office and saying no to everything. He only refunded the 3 charges because I came in the branch and I was persistent!

WORST CREDIT UNION.EVER. They lie about paperwork received even when the post office proves they got it. They've been hacked and my account has been frozen at least 6 or 7 times in 5 years for stolen cards that weren't stolen and a few times while we waited for weeks for new ones. Go elsewhere. 0 stars.

The branch need to be notify in advance for large withdraw, but they never answer their phone, you have to notify in person then come back the next day. Terrible service. It's doesn't seem like they care for their customer. I don't suggest this place to anyone.

I've banked here for two years now and I have no complaints. The facility is clean and comfortable. I usually work with Sarah. She is very friendly and helpful.
