Good news and bad news. The pharmacists are good. They always are willing to explain anything to you. Most of the time they can fill my prescriptions quickly. The one time I had a substitute they explained why and it was actually great.
The downside are the people who run the register and ring you up. There are a lot of problems there. They range from minor to significant. A major issue was one of my prescriptions cost $10 with insurance. Recently, I got charged $75 per month and thought that was wrong so I asked them to check that. They said it was right. After 2 months I asked a different person to check and they said the other person forgot to put in a code that reduced it. They had been doing that for a long time. They did not even offer me an apology for charging two months at $150 instead of $20.
Minor things include not being able to find the drug. Eventually they asked the pharmacist who found it immediately. I could not understand the most recent employee as she was chewing gum so loudly I could not make out what she was saying. She was also the one who got on her phone right after ringing me up although there was a line.
Finally, like another reviewer I saw four people working but only one ringing up customers even the line was extremely long.

Really not thrilled to have a long line with three pharmacists present and only one person on the register. Always seem to have a long wait, even when the store isn’t busy.
Would really appreciate other employees jumping in to help.
Appreciate access to my scrips but just find this so frustrating every time

Ok unless you need more than 1 prescription. Then let the annoying games begin. I have yet to go there and all of my scripts are ready as promised. Usually takes at least 3 trips.

I have been using this pharmacy for a few years and they are the best by far. Quick helpful and friendly. Staff members have repeatedly gone above and beyond to get me my medication and I am very grateful.

Prescription drop-off to pick-up was 5 minutes. The staff were exceptional ly kind and patient.Thank you for being so wonderful and efficient when I was not feeling well!

Very helpful, kind staff. Quick service. There was a line of about 10 people when I walked in and the guy working at the counter was so fast, I think I waited a total of 2 minutes when it was my turn - amazing and honestly refreshing.

As usual I'm having problems getting my prescription. There always seems to be an issue. Even though they know I'm coming in for this medication they never have it in stock. This will be my 3rd time going through withdrawal due to their disfuctional bungling and I am not a happy person .this for me Safeway on.cleveland ave in Tumwater

This pharmacy is convenient and close to my house but they never have enough staff working. I stood in line for 20 minutes to check in for my appt for a vaccine. They then directed me to a waiting room where I waited another 15 minutes. All told they were 25 minutes late for my appt. Why make appts if you aren't going to honor them . Very disrespectful or people's time.

Super chill and super friendly! Best Safeway pharmacy in Thurston County! Actually switched to this one from their Westside location because of too many frustrations... best decision I've made in a while.

Took them 2 1/2 days to fill my husband's prescription because they said they were understaffed!!! Well Then maybe don't accept the orders! This is a very dangerous situation if you are released from the hospital and your pharmacy can't seem to find the TIME to fill life saving heart medication!!

A joke. 2 people working, 10 people in line, and nobody behind the counter appears to be the least bit in a hurry. I'm so tired of Safeway - their standards have fallen off a cliff in the past 5 years.

These poor people are overworked and deal with customers who are rude, demanding, disrespectful, and lay blame on the staff when they don't get their meds. I've seen people yell at the pharmacy staff because the customer had over used their meds, and for other reasons, but the staff are still nice and helpful every time I'm there. Don't be mean and they are all lovely people

Had an incident at the Tumwater store where the police were involved due to a possible hate crime situation involving my kids.
The staff were kind, compassionate, and supportive beyond any expatiation I had. They checked on my kids thru the process.
This store rocks. The staff are worth their weight in gold.
Kudos to Safeway for being a model store other businesses can follow.

The African American man told me they are closed for lunch after I have been standing there for a few minutes. They could have told me immediately instead of having me stand in line while they were helping someone.

Must've come in on a bad day. Literally every employee I took time to thank, looked at me like I said something bad about their mother. They couldn't get away fast enough and one acted as if he couldn't hear me. What a shame.I always try and be kind. Made me feel terrible for showing any kindness. Too bad it's so close and I will have to now drive to Fred Meyer.
