At Budget Office 14605 NE Fourth Plain Blvd, Vancouver, Washington: 18Sept23: We originally had a small car, Corolla or similar reserved and prepaid online. The car they gave us was Nissan Altima and after inspection, the left rear tire was flat, on a run flat tire. Office agent said they just rent the cars that are dropped off. Offered to air up the tire! Offered another vehicle, Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Upon driving about 30 miles vehicle started a very high pitch, piercing screech from the engine compartment. It only did this between 50 and 70 miles per hour but it was HORRIFIC!! At these speeds it was consistent and constant. We contacted Customer service three times on the number on the car key tags, however, communications were terrible and unable to understand agents. We drove to our destination and returned to Vancouver and returned vehicle on 22 Sept 23. NO ONE at Budget attempted to make amends to this disastrous experience. Of the 400 miles we drove in this POS, we had to have ear plugs in to help with the On again/Off again piercing sounds being emitted. I am not a consistent renter, however, it will be a cold day in hell before I even consider Budget or Avis. Total collapse of supposed quality products and support on their part. The support number wanted us to take it to the nearest Budget/Avis office and they would give us a different vehicle. The only problem with that is there is not one northwest of Seattle in the San Juan Islands. We had to endure the rental car problems to get there and back with much worry if this vehicle will decide to explode rather than just sounding like it will explode. Also, this was a hybrid vehicle and the battery was not charged and the mirrors were water spotted causing limited usage until we could get off of the highway and clean them. From start to finish, a totally unacceptable experience. Dealing with them was a nightmare.

These guys are awesome, we were in a pinch with our rental truck. They moved some things around and got us a bigger truck in short notice. Would not have had a successful move without them!

This was a horrible experience!!!!!! Let me start of by saying this rating is not for budget the company, it’s for the manager/owner of this location. I rented a16 ft truck with a car dolly. I asked the manager if he could show me and help load the car, as I had not done it before. He said he does not do that, ( side note UHAUL does) so I watched a video and figured it out, it was pretty simple. Once my car was up on the dolly and straps secured, I noticed one of the safety chains hook had come off. I went and got the manager to have him repair it, he goes back in to the office and comes out with a paper with the number for road side assistance. I told him why would I call them when I’m at your location and have not left yet. He went back into the office, so I tried calling roadside assistance. By this time my wife is angry she goes to the office to have him come back out and help, just find he has closed the office and he and his daughter had left for the day. We found out the hard way as we drove from Vancouver wa to California that the windshield wipers were bad and did not do much to clear the rain from the wind shield. Obviously he did not do any inspection or safety checks, to make sure his equipment was safe to use. This guy is too incompetent to be running this business.

I had a wonderful experience. The owner was very polite and accommodating! I was interested in upgrading and they upgraded me free! Overall just a great experience. Will definitely be coming back! Also great front desk staff!

It has been a huge blessing renting from this Budget/Avis location in Vancouver, WA. I was doing monthly rentals here for 7+ months consecutively because they treated me well and have become more like family/friends. It's family owned and operated, which has been great! I so appreciate their help through some challenging times. I've had some good conversations with the owners/staff, and have felt truly valued as a person and customer. Thank you all! Praying all of God's best for you :)

Beware this location. They will fraudulently try and add additional charges to your credit card after the car is returned.I rented a car at this location just under 2 weeks ago. The vehicle was a Toyota Prius with about 32,000 miles on the odometer. The service needed now message was on for the entirety of the rental, the inspection was expired by 5 months and the registration was due to expire the day after I returned the car. One tire was almost flat. They were not able to provide the proper insurance paperwork as required to enter Canada even though it is a Budget/Avis requirement. On return last Thursday they were not able to to provide me a receipt. The receipt was emailed to me over 2 days later. There was an additional $50 charge for "sand removal". The car was driven on regular roads for the entirety of the rental. When I called them, they claimed to be unable to open the receipt on their computer. I had to call the Budget head office who promised to look into the overcharge.

DO NOT GET YOUR BUDGET TRUCK FROM HERE.I proactively made a reservation weeks prior to pick up. I received confirmation via e-mail days before for pick up. When I arrived, the person working let me know they cancelled my order because there wasn’t any trucks available. He also informed that ‘confirmations do not guarantee a truck.’ Terrible experience and poor customer service.
