I recently had an exceptionally unpleasant encounter with a Chase Bank employee named Angie Overhall that compelled me to share my experience. Unfortunately, the level of service I received was shockingly poor and left me deeply dissatisfied.I visited the Chase Bank branch located at 1205 Broadway St, Vancouver, WA 98660 on 1/8/2024 to cash a Chase Bank Cashier's Check resulting from the sale of my vehicle. As a disabled individual recovering from recent spinal fusion surgery due to a broken back, I approached the transaction with the hope of a smooth and considerate process. However, my experience with Ms. Overhall was far from satisfactory.Upon informing Ms. Overhall about my recent surgery just two weeks prior, I was made to wait for an excruciating 30 minutes while standing, despite no other customers being present in the bank. Ms. Overhall displayed a rude and brazen attitude throughout the interaction, continuously questioning my decision to cash the check at Chase and not my own bank "why do you need the money right now, do you have something you have to pay for".To my disbelief, Ms. Overhall proceeded to invade my privacy by demanding personal and professional details. Despite providing my employer's name and my own name, she went as far as to insist on knowing my job title. When I hesitated, she threatened to withhold my funds and even threatened to call law enforcement if I didn't leave the premises immediately. This treatment is not only unprofessional but also discriminatory and deeply distressing. As a disabled individual, I expected a level of empathy and understanding that was clearly absent in this situation. It is disheartening to think that such behavior is tolerated within the Chase Bank community.I urge Chase Bank to thoroughly investigate this incident and take appropriate corrective action to prevent the recurrence of such disgraceful treatment towards customers, especially those with disabilities. No one should be subjected to such a humiliating and degrading experience while conducting routine banking transactions. In light of this distressing encounter, I am seriously reconsidering my continued association with Chase Bank and will be exploring alternative banking options that prioritize respect, empathy, and professionalism.

Probably the hands down the worst bank you can ever imagine. Mismanaged, they dress like slobs, they don't care about your business. I went there to open up accounts for my law firm. Ive never witnessed such incompetence in my life. They turned me away from service when my law firm has an account there. Was on hold for 13 hours and when I finally got through on the phone they told me I needed to go to a brach to give my ID. When I went to the branch, they stated they won't help me and to call the 1800 number. I can say this is probably one of the worst run branches I've ever come across. Also seems that discrimination is a common denominator when reading the past reviews.

If you’re an even remotely successful person of color take your business elsewhere. What would’ve taken nearly 3 days took an hour at another branch. Save yourself the stress and time, and thank me later

DO NOT DEPOSIT MONEY AT THIS ATM!!! It took $1100, glitched and then didn't actually deposit the money. It gave no receipt, just some number for customer service, and customer service was not available!

Love your location but... the night depository has had a broken piece of plastic that you have to hold in order open and close the drawer. I haven't said anything in hopes that you would figure it out but it has been broken for about two years.

Horrendous Service. Called two days earlier to change and add an account, they failed to return my call. I called back and eventually got an appointment with Diana. Diana knew my goals. She told me to bring certain documents. I did and yet she forgot that I needed others. After that she deleted my account before creating another account in it's place first. She deleted my entire profile, login, and business information. Million Dollar Company just walked away.

Thank you to the teller (possibly manager) that saved me from depositing/cashing a fraudulent check that could have cost me dearly. She took the time to google the name on the check and showed me that it was a scam. I've always felt like my bank has looked out for my best interest and today they proved it. Will be a Chase customer for life.
